Today on January 20, 25 I went into new life I walked in. I said hello and asked if I could speak to somebody about the full services offered there. The lady was standing. There . She said she was the doctor and asked me what kind of services did I need I explain acupuncture. She asked if I had insurance I explained to her. Yes . My visit there was very uncomfortable as an African-American of mixed race. I was not greeted with a possibility of being a new customer, I was not greeted with a possibility of being a Customer only questioned on how I was going to pay. When I asked her about her different services. She would never give me an answer. She kept going back to the insurance. I explained to her I was just coming in for a procure to see her services she said she had none. I needed to find an acupuncture Local area, which I have lived here over 15 years and I’ve never been treated Discrimination . I finally explained to her my insurance and asked if she had Availability she said no I asked her what were her hours. She said they closed at five. The website Says 7 pm I asked her does she have a problem with me possibly being a patient? And then she said, give me your insurance card and then she told me I had no coverage. I work for the Federal Government I have full coverage and I left there feeling very uncomfortable . 😣 MLK day
