On top of paying tuition and the gym membership itself, the parking is charged by the hour. At the time of writing this review, an hour costs 2.75. If you frequent the gym enough and you live far, expect to pay at the minimum for the membership itself, 50 dollars, and 110 for parking if you go all weekdays for 2 hours for 4 weeks of the month. A grand total of 160 if you are a dedicated weightlifter. TAPs routinely tickets so you cant get away with it unless you know someone who works in that department personally to void it just because you know someone. The equipment is good but it’s always crowded so expect to work in with someone here and there. No sauna or steam room sadly. The app used for scanning into the gym is outdated and requires you to sign in every time you use the app. They recently did some upgrades but it definitely is not worth your time and money to go here if you are a more experienced lifter. Go here if you get it for free, or go to a gym in sac or woodland. Edit: i recently found out the gym is not in charge of the parking situation, so il retract one star but keep it at three stars.

Well. The gym itself has a good spread of equipment and is pretty much the only decent gym in Davis, which is what led me to getting a membership here. But for non-students, a membership is $50 a month, and on top of that you’ll need to pay $15 a day for parking (if you don’t pay you’re basically guaranteed a parking ticket). When you’re at the gym, good luck actually getting to use any equipment because the place is swarmed with hundreds and hundreds of people. The thing that pissed me off the most about my experience here though, was when I finally went to cancel my membership I was informed that I would still be charged for the next month, because you have to cancel your membership more than 10 days in advance of the start of the month to avoid being charged. I won’t even be in town next month, so I’m getting charged $50 for something I won’t even be able to use, and I went to cancel like 5 days beforehand specifically to avoid that. This policy is buried in their website and they do not inform you of it u too you cancel.

I would only recommend this gym if you’re a student and get in for free, or have no other options. Otherwise, it’s worth it to just drive to woodland or sac and go somewhere else.

The parking is not the most convenient parking lot for a recreational facility. The facility looks age and have this odor smell once you entered the facility. Conference is outdated and the screen projector is very difficult to see from the back and side. Gym is crowded and the price is totally not worth it.

This is how busy it is at 10pm on a Thursday. It’s ridiculous. I find it funny how UCD allows non-affiliates to purchase a membership when it’s so busy that students can’t even use it. And yet we’re accepting more and more students each year. It’s been like this the last 4 times I visited.

Arc Davis where do I begin. For starters if you want a good lift in you’ll have to pick a perfect time like a weekday at like 11 am and even then you may have to wait to get a lift in. Non members pay 50$ a month and even if you started at 30$ a month they keep raising it for you anyways. Parking tickets are handed out even if you pay the 15$ day pass which will be around $3900 per year if you go 5 days a week. The workers don’t really do much the basketball courts are never swept and the equipment is 20 years old. Cant believe I can finally move away from this terrible town and get a real gym.

Been going to the arc for awhile now and I have to say it has been a terrible experience. If it’s not the $50 a month it’s the 64$ parking tickets and the lack of care staff. Would never recommend this gym to anyone.

Worst gym I have ever been to. Careless staff overpriced membership and hidden fees. Not to mention parking is terrible and you’ll more than likely get a ticket.
