I have been going to Lift Silverlake for two months and I am already feeling the results. I was a complete beginner, but Dirk and Chenell are fantastic trainers who are incredibly patient, kind and knowledgable. Each session they provide a new and personalized set of exercises that challenge me but still feel achievable. I highly recommend trying this out, it is one of the best parts of my week and I look forward to it every time. It has changed my life!

Dirk and Chenell offer the ideal solution to anyone who feels they need a personal trainer/ongoing supervision in their fitness journey while keeping costs affordable.

I’ve been working out with them at Lift for more than three months now, three sessions a week (give or take the odd day off) and I’ve seen tangible results.

I was brand new to strength training so really needed supervising 100% of the time, but couldn’t afford to pay an individual personal trainer. It felt like a catch-22, I wanted to really commit and be working out several times a week to ignite a transformation in my body, but I knew paying an individual trainer several times a week would be financially impossible, and I just didn’t have the knowledge or confidence (or let’s face it, motivation) to do “fill in” gym sessions on my own around having a trainer once a week or fortnight.

Dirk and Chenell are on hand and physically present 100% of the time, they’re constantly circling the gym monitoring you. There’s no more than six people working out at one time, so they’re able to give enough attention given it’s such a small group. The sessions are 30 min, there’s no hidden fees (it’s $45 per session) and honestly, you can’t f@*k around. You have 30 mins to get your workout in, and because it’s such a small group and everyone can easily see each other, you don’t feel you can be lazy or take it easy as no one else is!

They create the workout plan for you, and it’s always up for discussion if something isn’t feeling like it’s working, or causing pain etc. They monitor the weights you’re lifting and are quick to increase them if it’s too easy!

I find both Dirk and Chenell to be warm, approachable, supportive and knowledgeable. But they also take their business and clients seriously, so there’s definitely an atmosphere of “you’re here to work” - which is what I am personally looking for.

I’ll also just add that as a woman who had never done weight lifting, it felt like a welcoming environment from the other clients too. People of all shapes and sizes and all levels attend the sessions, so if you’re brand new or a bit self-conscious it’s a great place to start. No one’s judging or competing. I think the small space and minimal bodies helps on this front - you’re only ever exposed to a few other people in a private and cosy space.

I started training at Lift only a few months ago and wow I’ve already seen huge results! What they’re doing here at Lift is amazing and Chennell and Dirk are not only great trainers but really good people! I tried every class/gym and never stuck with it until I found Lift. I’m addicted now. I look forward to every session and hate when I have to miss. I grew up as a dancer and weightlifting was intimidating. Dirk and Chennell are wonderful about making you feel comfortable even if it all feels foreign. They’ve taught me so much that I’ll take with me forever and especially with small changes to my technique that pay off big time. This is the strongest I’ve ever felt. Um hello strong shoulders, I never saw you there.

Also, I just love the vibe. Its so chill and fun and the people are great. The 30 minutes fly by and it’s the perfect amount of time. I’m grateful I found Lift. It’s literally changed my life for the better.

This is the best kept secret in LA and you gotta go asap.

Lift Silverlake is a hidden gem! I have been training here for a few months and have had the absolute best experience all around. Dirk and Chenell really get to know you, your body, your goals, and any limitations you have and then customize workouts that are specific to you. They are always available during your workout to answer any questions and they make sure you are lifting safely and effectively. Also, you are getting a HUGE value for a very reasonable price.

I can feel the difference in my body after just a few months. I genuinely look forward to my sessions with Chenell and Dirk! It is a fun, relaxed, hard working environment and they play great music! Dirk and Chenell are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and just fun people!

I started coming to Lift Silverlake back in February. I had some experience with strength training but I never felt confident about it. Since my first session it has been nothing but growth. Dirk and Chenell are the best in town. They’ve figured out a way to offer folks personal training without the long-term contract and without it being prohibitively expensive. I’ve been going to Lift for a few months now and I feel healthier and stronger than I ever have. Each person gets an evolving training plan tailored to their goals and the convenient 30 minute sessions are enough to wreck you (in a good way) without taking up half the day. See you all there.

Amazing results almost instantly! I've tried nearly my whole life to gain muscle, with no luck. It's crazy, I immediately saw gains with Chenell and Dirk!💪🤯

I usually don't feel comfortable in a gym, there's too much going on. It's different here, in a great way. I immediately felt comfortable and motivated in their spot and I knew I could trust them as personal trainers. They tailor a workout plan specific for your needs and they adapt it as you advance.

They won't pressure you to sign up or charge any crazy fees. It's affordable, easy and super effective. I'm doing 30 minutes twice a week and I'm getting bigger every visit. I almost don't believe it. Stop waiting and "do it, do it nowww".💪

They've changed my life in less than 2 months. I'm stronger, gained muscle mass, and my sleep is even better. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. Thank you Dirk and Chenell!
