Absolutely wonderful experience, I received the most wonderful care throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. the birthing center is beautiful and relaxing and was the best birth experience I’ve had after three hospital births. I have switched my whole family over to their family practice and can’t imagine ever going anywhere else for the health and wellness of my family.

I had my first baby here with Kirsten and it was such an awesome experience! She was very informative and answered all of my questions and was always someone to just take to through my pregnancy but what really impressed me was how caring and interactive she and Bethany were during my labor and delivery. They were kind and caring but gave firm instruction when I needed it. They also followed up after I went home and made home visits to make sure baby and I were ok. I will definitely go through them for any more children I have.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! Where do I begin. First the building smells like sewage! Second when the girl walked me back to the room she turned off the lights before I showered I couldn’t see a damn thing. Third the shower water literally made me throw up it smelled so bad. I was nauseous before even getting in to the pod from the shower. Then when in the pod You are sitting it hot sewer water can’t barely breath. Not to mention it was extremely dirty! I felt so uncomfortable. I stayed 20 min and left. 0/10 experience. I’ve been to float tank places before I never had an experience as terrible as this one. This place was a scam! I will be telling everyone I know and don’t know how TERRIBLE this place is. Don’t waste EVER your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After somewhat frustrating and disappointing birth experiences at three hospitals in other states, my four birth experiences at Heirloom (formerly Heritage) in Palmer have been amazing. After moving to Alaska and learning we were expecting, I interviewed midwives at several birth centers. I felt immediately that Kirsten was the right one and Heritage (now Heirloom) was where I wanted to give birth. Everyone there has always been so caring and made me feel completely comfortable. My first delivery there exceeded my expectations (and the three since have been just as perfect). I felt like I had finally been able to have exactly the birth experience I wanted, with 100% support for my choices. The midwives even heated pot after pot of water in a coffee pot to fill the birthing tub, because the water heater pilot light had blown out due to a terrific wind storm. The birth suite is so cozy and there was plenty of room for me to walk during labor; even with my bigger-than-typical family support team- which the midwives didn’t object to at all. Even my most recent birth, in the midst of Covid19, was as ideal as I could have wished. I got to have my husband and doula with me, and the others I wanted at my birth got to watch through the screened porch door, wearing masks. I would never consider going anywhere else if I had another baby, barring pregnancy complications that absolutely required hospital birth.

Heirloom Wellness & Birth is a fantastic health care facility. We had a great experience birthing our second child here. The experience was empowering, calm, and supportive. We were so pleased to discover that services had expanded to include family health and wellness, as well. Since then, our whole family has been receiving wellness services here and we honestly cannot imagine going anywhere else.

Dr. Nadeau has been a blessing to my family. She is compassionate, respectful, thorough, straightforward, and cares about you as an individual, instead of treating you like just another patient. She is extremely knowledgeable, while also open to learning and expanding her expertise. After working with numerous general practitioners and specialists for over a decade, I had little or no results diminishing my physical complications until finding this amazing physician with her unique skill set. With her knowledge of both western and eastern medicines, she has helped myself and others in my family with a range of ailments such as chronic pain, hormonal imbalance, autoimmune disorders, as well as preventative care such as well-child exams.

I am thankful every day to have found Dr. Nadeau and Heirloom Wellness & Birth. They are truly a blessing to have in our community.

I Had a wonderful experience while pregnant, during labor and after pregnancy. Labor went perfectly, I was very comfortable and the midwives and staff were absolutely fantastic. I love these women. When I get pregnant again I will definitely he coming back. If natural, comfortable and having it your way is what you want, Heritage Birth Center is the best place to go.

Kirsten is the best! So knowledgeable. Warm, caring, informative, “homey” environment. She loves what she does, & it comes across in her amazing care for mama’s and babies. She and her staff helped me through 2 pregnancies and home births. If we have another, I won’t hesitate to go back for the third.

I wish I could give zero stars.

Kirsten inaccurately measured my cervix dilation and had me pushing while only 6-7 cm dilated.
My water was broken 22-23 hours before I asked to go to the hospital for pain meds. She told my husband it was not a problem to have my water broken over 24 hours. I ended up with an infection.

Please...for the health and safely of you and your baby, do not go here.
