I went to Delano Regional Medical Center on April 24 to have a 10 minute procedure done and I was there 8 hours. When I arrived at 8am and checked it. There was no bed for me to lay in. I had to sit in a chair until after 2pm when they called me for the procedure. It was a terrible experience. Nurse were great. They way they do things is like an assembly line. You are a number not called by name. I did not see my doctor or talk to him at all. I was not told what was going to happen or how long it would take. I hope they change there way because this is not a way to treat patients. I would not recommend them.

I twisted & cracked my neck & shoulder. Severe pain & couldn't move my head & pain in shoulder down thru the arm. After 3.5 hrs waiting they gave me 2 pills (unknown) & injection. Worst care I have ever had. No X-ray or cervical neck collar. I don't go to Emergency room at all. So this experience was horrible & traumatic. Shame on you Adventist Health. I have worked in the Medical field for 35,+ years, now retired. If any of my staff treated me unprofessional, Ithey would have been fired.

I would like to share an experience that my family & I just had within this month. Earlier this week my dad was seen in the Emergency room, the first Doctor that came in told my dad that he didn't have anything despite the fact of his symptoms were telling him otherwise. My mom and dad said they would like to get a second opition. Surely they did, the second Doctor came in and told my dad that he did in fact had something and was going to send my dad for more tests. He got admitted and then the nurses there were giving us the round around of when his ultrasound was going to be scheduled.Midday, we had 2 women coming into the room asking about their service (separate occasions), of how things were going. I wasn't hesitant about being honest. I spoke openly about the situation and to my surprise the RN Emily was on it. She called out dept regarding times of appts (that we were getting the run around), she was moving mountains for our family and I was impressed things were moving faster and we were being helped and felt that we were being taken care of. Emily, RN called my dad a couple days later after he was discharged and followed-up, I was happy that she took that extra step to call and find out how he was doing. I'm forever grateful.

I was recently admitted this past Sunday and just recently got discharged the 11th. This hospital has improved so much and the staff was prompt and great! I'm grateful for the care I received; they were very attentive and compassionate. There were a few hiccups here and there and some things can still be improved. I just wish the Drs were more concerned about pain management and comfort for the patient and not think just because one asks for their pain meds or an increase, they will become junkies or dependent on them. Some of us have higher tolerances to painkillers than others. I had a bad, painful kidney infection amongst many other ailments. Eventually needed my gallbladder removed, which is a very painful post-surgery recovery. All in all, my experience wasn't bad. It could have been worse. Dr. Riggs (er dr) has been one of the best Drs to ever attend and treat me. Huge thanks to the ER and med-surge departments for their great service! Food has improved as well! Thank you DRMC.

I saw all the reviews and was scared to death to come here . First off this is my second time here . First was in 2013 that time was awful . The wait was long the doctor was the worst . This time it was great all the way around . Other then it was me who was sick . They checked me in and I was heading to the back in less them 10 min . The nurses were great with getting me blankets and water and checking on me . The doctor came and saw me then sent me out for a ultra sound . I was seen there within a few min of seeing the dr . They staff there was great . So far everyone here this time has been so nice . They found out it was gallbladder and have given me stuff to help with it . Really great job this time . Also the place was clean . I am happy with my care and the overall treatment here today .

My mother was brought to this hospital as it was the only ER that wasn't busy. I can see why. The nurses talked to me like I was a child. Not telling me my mothers complete lab results this includes the Dr. The nurses don't seem to care at all. I will NEVER come to this hospital EVER again. Memorial is soooo much better at treating patients and be being human beings

Worst hospital ever, my niece has been there 4 days and won't let no family member see her not even ones. She had a surgery to remove stones from glallbladder Tuesday morning and she is having soo much pain. We don't really know what's going on with her they all said different stories and don't know when would they release her.

When I was in labor I asked for my epidural. I asked for it maybe an hour or so before I was ready to give birth to my daughter, they "forgot" about it and then the lady blamed another person for her forgetting. Then during my stay for two days the nurses were all rude and loud outside my door. Plus after I was discharged a lady from another city called me and told me that they lost my daughter's newborn screening... Then as I was going back up there to get it done again. No one knew where to send me to get it done. This hospital is a joke!
