Used the appointment scheduling website to schedule an initial appointment like the main website says to do on the "Book Your Session" page. Selected "Any available clinician" and was given a tentative appointment date by the system. Day of appointment, got a call saying that clinician doesn't accept new patients and the appointment was cancelled. How is a new patient supposed to know what clinicians are available? Why even have the "any available" option, then? This is a very frustrating system to navigate. Perhaps don't direct new patients to use the web scheduler if you're setting them up for failure.

Update:
I received a call from Kat, the owner, who was amazing in trying to find a therapist for my child. Communication was great and she was very kind and compassionate.

Called to schedule appointment for child. Was told only one person available and they do teletherapy and no insurance accepted. I said no. I am very disappointed

There are people in this world that go above and beyond their duties and show you that they care. I made an appointment for my daughter and received a call back from Cat the same day.

Unfortunately, our insurance was not in-network for her to be seen at Thriveworks. That's when Cat went the extra mile and put out a lifeline to her colleagues to find an agency that would accept our insurance AND be the best fit for what my daughter needs.

Within less than an hour she sent me a message saying she had found an agency and here is the number. She also followed with the offer to find financing for our appointments if for some reason we need more appts than what would be covered by our insurance.

As a Mom, words cannot convey how much I appreciate Cat and how refreshing it is to speak to a provider that truly cares about my family and their mental wellbeing. Thank you for being a Hero to us!!!

update: after this review a wonderful lady named kat reached out to me by phone and was very helpful and determined to help me find some help for us! She was extremely helpful and got us in touch with someone who took insurance and now we will be starting later this week! Thx you?
Called to set up an appointment and they are not expecting new patients and the 2 that had openings do not see children only teenagers.
Sad that finding good mental health providers is as hard as it has been.

I have been seeing counselors and therapists for many years now and have received tremendous healing but was betrayed by my last counselor and wasn’t sure about seeing one again. I have suffered a lot of trauma in my life and knew I had to get back to repairing the brokenness of my life.
From the first day I met my therapist Karen I was overwhelmed with gratitude towards her and God that I found her. I felt HEARD and UNDERSTOOD for the first time, like she really SEES me and knows what I am going through. I know this may sound clichè but I cannot explain just how impactful meeting with her has been.
It is my desire to move out of state, but I don’t know that I can move away from Karen, who is helping me help myself recover from a lifetime of abuse and trauma.
I would recommend Karen and Thriveworks on Kolb to EVERYONE(we all need a therapist in my opinion).
