The equipment is a bit older but overall it’s great. Not too many people go there so you can use all the equipment in a timely manner and the staff is super helpful and kind. I love using the steam room as well it’s super helpful for my skin. The locker rooms are very nice as well.

The gym itself is great. Not the most expansive set of equipment but they do what they can with the space. The gentlemen that work there are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The general manager (I believe her name is Sheila) clearly does not enjoy working here. I’ve only been a member for two weeks now, and I’ve already had multiple rude interactions with her. She’s curt, unwelcoming, and gives off an air of annoyance whenever I have approached her. The first couple times it happened, I assumed she may have just been having a rough day. Now, however, I’m noticing that this seems to be her regular demeanor.

Manager is rude and unwelcoming. My friend and I were doing the free trial and came in to use it one day and were told it was already over. How the trial works wasn’t made clear by her staff when we signed up, but that’s despite the point. It seemed as if the manager was trying to make us feel stupid for not knowing the trial was over and was simply nasty. Then had the guts to ask us if we wanted to sign up. No thanks! We ended up signing up at the Eos downtown and are loving it (This gym was nice and never too busy but had limited parking and was going to be twice what I pay at Eos. I get more at Eos and it’s cheaper, but if you want a less populated gym that’s what you’d be paying for here)

The same ol' Gotcha! corporate gym mentality. I told them I'd be in town for a few weeks, they said month-to-month was $48.50. I said I just need one month, paid, and within a two weeks they ping me with another charge. I explained what happened and then they said it's all in the pages and pages of documents you have to sign so they feel free to screw you over.

Just be honest. Don't try to trick people to joining. I'm a volunteer and I don't get paid for what I do and so I like to think people are honest and good, but operations like this make me reconsider.

As for the gym: so-so. Gym culture is pretty bad. The staff is all young and cheap labour and largely apathetic. High turnover. The equipment is mid-range. Hoist is a nice concept but in practice has extremely limited range and so it's basically impossible to get a full stretch of the muscle on those machines.

Places are generally clean and pleasantly designed.

I'd have more of a positive feeling about these gyms if I didn't feel like corporate daddy wasn there behind you waiing to screw over their customers. It's a shame these places kicked out the small owner gyms. Better culture, more community... that's all fading now. [sigh]

Of all the mountainside fitnesses, this location is the absolute worst. You’ll never come across more disrespectful, rude, an unprofessional front door staff. When I first became a member, club members told me to beware of their Manager/GM. She goes by a lady called Sheila Burgess. She hoards gym supplies like tissue paper, toilet paper, paper towels. Everything is under stocked. When members ask for items (which they’re entitled to), she screams at them, often times insulting them. In the event that she does reply, it’s beyond rude. Good luck using the massage chair either. Know that if you go to this location, the entire life span of your membership will be a living hell.

In the past few days, I've experienced a lack of respect, which is concerning. I decided to visit a new location, the downtown Chase branch. Upon entering, I was not greeted, even though I had my son with me. As I walked in search of the daycare, an employee stopped me abruptly, treating me as though I was out of place or a homeless woman , to inform me that there was no daycare available. She explained that there were only three employees and no one to watch children. I was unaware that only certain locations offer daycare services. Consequently, I now have to go out of my way to find another location. ( this was 11:30ish 7/11/24 a female employee )
