I enrolled my son at American Swim Academy for Wednesday classes at 8 PM, hoping for quality swim instruction. Unfortunately, the experience has been far from satisfactory. The instructor never provides hands-on adjustments or demonstrations for critical skills like kicking or hand movements. Initially, I thought this might be an issue with just one instructor, so we tried a makeup class on Tuesday at 6 PM with a different coach. It was even worse.

While the instructors briefly improve after I address concerns with management, the effort never lasts beyond the next session. It feels like the staff has the ability to teach effectively but chooses not to do so consistently.

On the positive side, the facility is clean and warm, and the management appears willing to listen to feedback. However, it seems like the coaching staff doesn’t follow through on those improvements.

Now, I’m looking to withdraw my son from the winter session, which hasn’t even started yet, but I’ve been told I can only get credits (not a refund) and will still be charged a $25 cancellation fee. This policy is frustrating and unfair, given the quality of instruction we’ve experienced.

Parents, beware of where you invest your time and money. Clean facilities alone don’t make up for subpar teaching and a lack of accountability.

This is a fantastic place for a child to learn to swim. Instructors are fun, but structured. The building is always being cleaned. The front desk staff always greets you. The swim staff communicates very well after lessons so you know the progress your child is making. Highly recommend ASA Dublin.

Excellent. Top notch instruction. Excellent & friendly instructors, staff & administration. Well organized, efficient. Fair make-up policies. I’ve tried so many private lessons for my kids over the years unsuccessfully. This is the first time the finally learned, learned quickly & correctly. They are enjoying it, having fun, feel proud and successful. We’ve been here for a year now.

Excellent customer service. In particular Kavya was incredible!! Very professional, courteous, polite, welcoming and helpful. She always has smile on her face. Makes you feel like at home. Head coach and manager is always looking out for you, truly cares about your child growth & advances you in a safe but appropriate way. Coaches are well trained & very kind towards the children. Cleanliness of the place is 5 star. Overall the vibe is positive and warm. My twins love going swimming there! Definitely worth the money!!

With all the members I’ve spoken to I had a great conversation, they are all very supportive and solution driven and that is what makes this whole team absolutely amazing.

I gave 1 star for following reasons:
-1 instructor for 3 students in 30 min class is waste of my time. I take the trip, have him ready for a couple of laps pf swim?! imagine how much they can learn in 1 to 3 ratio.
-also the main instructor has been absent for the past few weeks and substitute has to figure out the status of each student right in that 40 min. so now figure out how leas effective this got.
-overall the focus is making more money than progress. you have to talk to them to get the attention so they can progress. to next levels otherwise your child is left with repeated task every lesson until you really complain.

Always a great place for your kids to learn to swim. Very good instructors and friendly staff. After several years of lessons I took my 6 year old son to the public pool (video of results) he can now outswim his mom using several different strokes.

Both of my kids go to the Dublin site. My 4 years old is doing so much better after a bad experience he had somewhere else when he was 1. He loaves it now!! My 2 years old daughter love the classes too. Teachers here are very good and the ratios are low
