I was in town for only a few days and in need of a gym that offered a day pass. The owner Jesusa was completely professional and accommodating even before the gym had a staff member present, she was able to help me over the phone and set me up for my workout. This gym is a power lifters dream TSS and titan racks for bench and squats plus plenty of platforms for deadlifts. Plenty of dumbbells and equipment for accessory workouts too. This gym is hands down the best in Modesto!

Been a member for almost 2 years now and safe to say, this is the best powerlifting gym in Modesto. They have all the equipment you’ll ever need, from stiff bars, IPF approved bars, to even deadlift bars. Several rogue kilo plates, Dumbbells varying from 5lbs to over 125+lbs I believe. Several high quality cable machines, and body building machines for your accessory lifts as well. They also have 4 different deadlift mats with such an amazing and welcoming community so its easy too meet new people and workout in a friendly environment. Don’t be afraid to ask anybody questions, because I'm sure everyone is willing to help each other out. That’s what makes the gym so great, amazing equipment, but most importantly an amazing community.

Great gym for strength training, powerlifting, and fitness. Outstanding hospitality from staff and fellow members. Great environment for new lifters and experienced competitors. Top of the line equipment. Competition level racks, benches, weight plates, and barbells. Dumbbells, weight machines, and cardio machines are excellent. Two bathrooms. A bar that sells protein shakes & preworkout drinks. Everything you would want in a gym and more.

Fantastic Gym and great culture.

BBA has an amazing culture of support and community. Watching folks interact with, cheer for, and push each other was always an amazing site to see. You could tell someone was going for a PR by how many people were chanting "you got this!" "Keep it up!" and whatever else you yell at someone to help them pick up heavy circles in a dimly lit room. It was a great energy! Even when people weren't cheering for you, you could tell everyone was rooting for each other.

I never had a bad interaction with someone in the gym. Everyone was supportive and inviting from day one (even when I would walk in front of their camera (sorry again bro)). My friends and family I brought were always impressed by the professionalism of those training and quality of equipment in the gym.

I think an aspect of the gym that I appreciate that isn't "obvious" is the passion the owners have for the sport of powerlifting. Their passion for what the gym brings to all people (not just those that compete) are evident. From their innovation, posts on social media, and the cleanliness of the gym and beyond.

I think there was only one or two times that I went (usually went at least twice a week) where there wasn't a deadlift/ squat/ bench station open. There's plenty of space in the little room the gym is in; I definitely appreciate that!

PS they have a protein smoothie bar thing now. It's hype.

PSS they share a wall with a grocery store, so you can get drinks and snacks as a treat treat for hitting a PR (or just showing up another day for yourself)

great gym with incredible aesthetics and equipment. great for powerlifters, bodybuilders, or those who just want to get into shape and stay fit! would recommend it to mostly anyone, for complete beginners it might be intimidating, but as an intermediate-slightly advanced lifter like myself, this gym has quickly become my home.

No doubt, best gym around. Whether you're a powerlifter who likes to go heavy or someone who just wants to get in shape, this is the best place to achieve all your fitness goals. All brand new equipment, open 24/6, and it's in a convenient spot just off the freeway. Great staff, super friendly and always willing to help any way they can. All of these great things and they're just getting started. I know theres more to come in the future. Highly recommend this gym, do yourself a favor and go give them a visit.

This is a family owned and operated facility that has truly taken the utmost care and accountability in providing a welcoming and high energy atmosphere. You’ll find lifters of all ages and ability as well as top notch quality equipment. There’s a huge amount of value in the experience provided by Barbell Alliance, everything from member highlights on their social platforms to product giveaways and parties. First visit is free, day passes are available after that and the membership fee is more than reasonable for the level of service provided.
