I have been practicing Pilates for over 25 years and am a certified instructor (trained with Balanced Body and did some continuing education with BASI). The instructors at this studio are all well-trained and excellent with the small group classes they teach. The senior instructors (Jen and Christina) are highly skilled at working with beginners, students of differing levels and folks with injuries/limitations, offering key insights, modifications and cueing. The group classes and variety of apparatus available are excellent, and the environment is beautiful, supportive and positive. Recommended highly!!

Had a great session with Jen. It was my teenage daughter’s first Pilates experience and I am returning to Pilates after a long hiatus. Love the studio. Spacious and calming. Jen was great at guiding us through the nuances of each position to ensure we got the most out of each stretch/exercise. Look forward to our next session!

The studio is clean, well lighted and spacious. The instructors are friendly and exceptionally skilled in their craft. They take the time to ensure that you do the movements right while keeping the right posture.
Since starting, have noticed significant improvement in my core strength. Thanks to all the instructors @ Basi EDH.

I’ve been doing Pilates for 10+ years participating both group classes (at Club Pilates and similar studios) and private lessons. I had two classes with Christina and Jen. The El Dorado Hills studio space is spacious, cozy and clean — One of the more upscale studio I have been to. This studio offers 5 stations (including 5 Cadillacs, a Basi Pilates special) giving classes a semi private feel (other group class studio I have been to usually have 12 stations). The instructors Jen and Christina are the best I have had — They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and engaged. The small class setting enables more attention from the instructor, who are always supportive and provide pointers / feedback on technic, posture or breathing to ensure you get the best pilates experience. Whether you are new to pilates or experienced, I highly recommend trying Basi Pilates in El Dorado Hills!

I'm so glad I found BASI. Jenn and Christina are experienced instructors with backgrounds that include a PT environment, which is great because they are sensitive to the fact that I am still recovering from an arm injury. I love to fact that the group class size is no larger than 5 at a time!! Lots of different class times are offered. They also have other Pilates apparatuses beyond the reformer, which gives variety to the sessions. I"m already a fan!

I recently started practicing at Basi Pilates in El Dorado Hills, after a couple years of bouncing between studios, and I am so happy that I found this place!!

After the studio I originally practiced at for a couple of years closed down, I tried several places in the Sacramento area. Some were more Pilates-inspired fitness and this resulted in me having regular injuries, which was frustrating because I started Pilates to recover from a low back and hip injury and up until that point had never experienced a class that was actually causing more issues vs keeping my body strong and stable. Other studios didn’t have quality equipment, resulting in my 5’8” body not fitting properly on the reformers, and a few more were just not at a convenient locations for me. When BASI opened in EDH, I immediately booked an intro session with Christina and very quickly after bought a large pack of classes. It’s been almost two months and I cannot express my relief to be back in a studio where I feel both supported and challenged and where there is a deep focus on form and preventing injury.

The studio has an array of high-quality equipment - from reformers to Cadillacs to chairs and more - so each apparatus class is different and keeps my mind and body engaged. Finally, they have an abundance of group classes that work for my schedule and the pricing is reasonable for my budget.

In the last two months of taking classes 2-3 times a week with Christina (she is amazing y’all!!!), the multiple injuries I was nursing have either drastically improved or fully gone away and I feel myself getting stronger every week. I highly recommend this studio and would encourage anyone who is considering taking up Pilates, or is at a studio that is Pilates-inspired fitness, to book an intro session. You will see a huge difference and will not regret it.

I’ve had chronic back and neck pain from my desk job and nothing has helped as much as my BASI Pilates sessions.

I remember my first session with Jenn, which was a little over a year ago now. After that first session, I was hooked for three reasons:

1. During core work, I felt muscles working that I had never felt before…

2. The way Jenn explained things made it obvious that she has a lot of knowledge about how the body works and how to treat injuries (and how to communicate that to people like me, who have no clue!)

3. My pain was significantly reduced after the session

Since then, I’ve been going weekly, which has been a great pain management strategy for me. My family noticed that I hardly ever need to use a heating pad anymore (and I used to need it daily!)

In general, I love how friendly and approachable everyone at the studio is. I’ve tried other Pilates studios which have had more of a stuck-up or “mean girl” vibe to them and I never went back. I have never felt out of place at BASI & I love that they’re making a typically intimidating environment feel so safe.

If you’re curious about trying Pilates, you’re not going to find a better place than this!!
