Quality French pastries are rather hard to find in the San Gabriel Valley and considering the guests we were hosting love French food I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to order from Chef G and it did not disappoint! I ordered a dozen cannelés, a dozen almond cookies, an almond tart, and two loaves of bread (plain and walnut).

The bread was spectacular—fresh, wholesome, and easy to digest. I usually have difficulty eating bread due to bloating but experienced no issues with this one. If you plan to keep it longer, slice and freeze it to maintain its freshness. The almond cookies were perfectly sweet and chewy as was the tarte (the flaky crust? 10/10).

The cannelés were also fantastic-glazed on the outside, fluffy on the inside and a perfect companion to a cup of coffee.

Overall, a 10/10 experience. I spoke briefly with Chef G and it is clear he takes so much pride in his craft, and I’m grateful to support someone so talented. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I first found out about Chef G and his French cuisine from a Facebook page where he advertised making several delicious French pastries that caught my eye. I really wanted to order several tarts and desserts for myself, but I couldn’t justify ordering a tart just for me - so when the opportunity came to place an order for a pot luck party, I jumped at the chance and ordered the caramelized honey and almond tart.

Ordering was super simple and Chef G was quick to respond to my texts. I think I only gave him 1-2 days advanced notice, but he was able to make it for my party!

Pick up was a cinch, and I was on my way. I have to say that the dessert was such a hit. The aroma of the tart almost made me want to keep it for myself, it was so fragrant.

Everybody enjoyed the honey and almond tart and I received so many compliments and questions about the tart that night. It was almost like a crunchy brittle - the caramelized honey, toasted almonds, and the crisp crust was on point.

Honestly, I can’t wait to try some of the other desserts that Chef G had to offer! Not only does he have sweets, but he also has savory food as well! Will definitely try more items in the near future.
