I feel compelled to leave a review due to the owner's (Tammy) lack of respect for local community members, including a retired service member. My housemates and I have lived near the facility for over a year and a half and have frequently been disturbed by excessively loud music from the gym. While we understand that a fitness center typically plays music, the volume has consistently been disruptive, especially early in the morning.

Despite our numerous phone calls and emails expressing that loud music is triggering and disruptive—particularly for our housemate, a retired Army veteran—Tammy has been dismissive.

In her response, Tammy claimed that the music volume doesn’t change and suggested that we wear earphones. This was an unhelpful and insensitive response, considering we are paying for a home that cannot be moved, while the gym’s speaker volume could easily be adjusted. We also have videos that capture the lyrics of the music being played, which would not be possible if the music was not played loudly.

I hope Tammy will take this feedback seriously and be more considerate of the residents and community members living near the facility.

I have been a member since 2019 and absolutely love the classes offered. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Management is on top of things and available for any concerns. I never have to worry using the equipment after another person because it is always clean. The pool and hot tub have just been resurfaced in November. Anytime something needs repair, the only delay is getting materials due to shipping. I highly recommend DSF for all your fitness needs.

I really wish they had an inshape in Davis, instead of these small mom and pop shops. I think this little gym may do somewhat of the trick but what I truly need and want is a steam room! ?

The folks who work out here at great. Nice staff. The gym has many amenities but it sorely lacks maintenance and cleanliness. The pool is rarely heated appropriately and needs a really good scrub. So do the locker rooms and workout area. At other gyms you saw someone cleaning all the time. I’ve never seen that here, maybe it happens after closing. So while the locker rooms got new paint, what they really needed was mold removal and a cleaning. Equipment is slow to get fixed but worst of all is you can’t depend on things to work. The showers often don’t have hot water working so good luck getting a shower in before work or you can take a freezing one. The place needs less focus on the superfluous cosmetic more on the functional.

I would avoid at all costs! The best part about this place is that the staff is nice. Everything from the machines to the building is old and never properly taken care of (accidents waiting to happen). Additionally, the owner is unprofessional, which many members in the gym will note as well, so think twice before making a membership because any problem with your account could lead to confrontation. Go to the Arc because even with the crowd it is 10x better. I understand there’s not that many options in Davis, but do not settle for this.

Pretty good. The group classes are a lot of fun. The trainers who run them are high energy and fun and many of them attend each others classes. There are plenty of machines and there's usually a lot of room to spare in the weight lifting area. The pool is nice and I often see lanes free. The hot tub is a pretty sweet bonus. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The parking lot is kind of small and it can get crowded in the evenings forcing people to park on the street. The music played in the workout area is typical pop music you'd find on 107.9.

I LOVE THIS GYM. They are so nice and so helpful, I really love the owner shes great. The classes are so fun and supportive and I always feel great after I leave. They have a great variety of machines and a really nice outdoor area with a pool! They are really motivating and have a great variety of different classes for any level of fitness. I personally love the bootcamp classes and zumba they are awesome. If you are thinking of joining you definitely should ASAP!!!! I have been a member for about 2 years now and I have never once been displeased! BEST GYM AROUND!!!! 🙂

Jacuzzi is grimey. The sauna never works. The equipment is all a little old and grimey. Staff is super nice. Their cancellation policy is ludicrous.
