Long overdue review. 100% recommend Del Mar Health Clinic. Both Dr. Xie, father and son, are very knowledgeable and welcoming. I went to see them for help for my missing menstrual cycle and when trying to conceive. They helped me stay optimistic and hopeful through a very frustrating journey. I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby and I couldn’t have done it without their help and encouragement.

Best acupuncture clinic, hands down!!! Dr. Xie knew exactly what was wrong (diagnosed a week before the MRI) and began a treatment plan that has corrected my issue. Below is my story.

I was having issues walking and supporting myself when I went to urgent care. They were nice, ordered x-rays, gave me a prescription for steroids and pain medication which I did not take. They requested a MRI, but said insurance would have to approve.

The following day I went to see Dr Xie. He asked a few questions, examined me and said I have two herniated discs. He said needed to rest (bedridden) and have treatment daily, along with a tea.
Within 3 treatments I was walking better and was able to stand without support. I am at treatment 8, supporting myself and walking. Ironically still pending a spine specialist appointment or any type of physical therapy recommendation.

I visited them for help trying to conceive and after 6 months I was pregnant! They're super friendly, reliable, and genuinely invested in each patient's progress.

The practice is run by father and son, both acupuncturist and both "Dr. Xie" 🙂
-1st visit filled out forms, met with him and had my first treatment, acupuncture and herbs for home.
-i bloomed herbs in hot water and drank warm. This is not a chai latte LoL, it tastes medicinal like ground up herbs, but for a important purpose.
-Each visit was quick chat on my cycle, needles on my legs, tummy and sometimes arms.
-Once a week he'd look at my tongue, take pulse and ask questions about where I was in cycle.
-The rooms have two beds but I always had my own room.
-Dr. Xie's accent is strong but don't fret. His comprehension is great and even cracks jokes! Dr. Xie Jr is there if translation is needed, rare during in my 6 mos there.
-Don't take insurance but will provide a superbill for insurance or FSA.
-I was to go 3x a week but with work and a toddler, they saw my 2x week. Likely slowed my progress.
-Late evening hours and Saturdays

On a funny note, Dr.Xie predicted the gender correctly 🙂

We were trying to conceive for 2 years until at the point we wanted to do IUI or IVF but we were scared to spend so much money and effort but ending up failed. One day my friend recommended me to go treatment to Del Mar Health Clinic, with skeptical feeling I went there on Jan 2022. Just only 2 months of acupuncture (3 times a week) and the herbs drink (3 times a day), surprisingly I got pregnant. Now I already gave birth to my healthy baby girl. She is 1 week old now. I hope Dr. Xie and Dr. Xie Jr stay healthy so they can continue to help a lot of people.

I came here because I wanted to get help getting pregnant. 3 years ago, I had gotten off BCP for more than year and was trying to get pregnant aturally for over 7 months. But because my menstrual period was unpredictable, it was difficult. Ive had experience taking Chinese natural herbs which have regulated my periods and my symptoms as well (outside of the state), so i tried this place. Dr. Xie and Benjamin are sincere providers. With their advise, help, 30 minute acupuncture
treatments and herbs as well as their comfort, i got pregnant 3 months under their care and have a healthy boy.

Hands down this is the only acupuncturist/herbal medicine clinic I will ever go to, and recommend to others. After only seeing Dr Xie x2 for the past 2 months, I found out how unbalanced my hormones were each month which caused difficulties with conception. I also have endometriosis which complicated things, and was told it leads to 50% of infertility. It was such a daunting number to digest...that I was already starting off with a disadvantage.

From day 1, both Drs made me feel hopeful and their affirming words gave me confidence in them. The Drs instructed me to take my BBT and closely monitored my temperature graph, alongside all the usual things like looking at the tongue and doing the 3 finger pulse. This is nothing you can decipher from a blood test from the obgyn (all of which came back normal). They were constantly adjusting the herbal medicines - each week they tasted different and my sleep and anxiety improved.

They are both so kind, calm, friendly and always made me feel supported at a time where I thought I would need to go down the dreaded IVF pathway. They genuinely care about you and your journey. I always come back from my appointments telling my husband how hopeful I felt after each appointment and I have 2000% trust in them.

My husband and I just found out I was pregnant after 2 months of treatment and we are absolutely ecstatic! I'm crying tears of joy writing this and I am so forever grateful for being referred here. Their clinic is very clean and they have air filters in every treatment and waiting room which makes me feel safe. Thank you so much, I am so grateful our paths crossed!

Dr. Xie and Benjamin are magic!

They are hands down the best acupuncture clinic I've found. I've tried clinics in SGV all the way to Westside LA, but I still drive an hour every week to meet with them. Both have helped my entire family tremendously - from muscle pain and hormonal balancing to fertility issues and digestion.

Dr. Xie provides acupuncture and herbal medicine for his patients. I genuinely think he's the most effective acupuncturist I've seen. We recommend him to all our friends and family members and they all love his work.

Very easy to book appointments! Open almost everyday! Plenty of parking. I love that I'm supporting a small, family business and have gotten to know everyone on a personal level over the last 10 years!
