A true apothecary and an incredible community resource! As an herbalist, I’m always impressed by their well-stocked selection of herbs, single tinctures, and the ability to create custom blends and off of expert guidance. A lovely little shop! A go-to place for herbal remedies and homemade tinctures, and natural safe items you can use in a variety of ways. I love it! Very quintessentially Austin!
Also a fan of the “apartheid-free Business” sign, which is what first caught my eye prompted me to visit

As an herbalist, in my opinion this is the best herb shop in town. They have a really good selection of dried herbs and single plant tinctures. The owners and staff are knowledgeable herbalists. They care about the community and their offerings reflect that, like the community health fund, which provides herbal medicine at no cost for those financially struggling. This is a great place to learn more about herbalism as they also offer classes regularly.

I've been here a few times now and every time they are so kind and helpful. One time it was the owner and the other times it was an employee. They have a great selection of herbs, a diverse variety of books, topicals, and more. Definitely worth making the trip there. Great stuff and great people!

Earth Commons is a gem. An amazing selection of curated teas and herbs, including my favorite herbal smokes, and a freshly brewed pot of tea ready to be sampled. I am always excited to dip into the store for a refreshing and cleansing adventure. Good vibes only!

i truly don’t understand anyone saying this place or its people has an unfriendly energy! i experienced nothing but warmth & support from the kind people who work here. they’re very knowledgable & open to share. what an incredible community space, i can’t wait to continue supporting them. amazing energy, integrity, boundaries and true connection lives here!!

what an AMAZING selection and variety: many single herbs and tea blends, an entire wall of single tinctures (they also custom formulate!!), and many different topicals (which i feel that’s lacking at many of the other shoppes i’ve visited).

i feel really lucky that i found this place! it’s tucked in right next flitch — and they even have a (customer) restroom on the side of the building!! i can’t wait to come back on a sunnier day haha 😛 having been an herbalist for 10+ years who has lived in many different cities, this apothecary spot immediately made it into my list of most-favorites.

ps: i have been to a LOT of herb stores & co-ops in my life, and this one has the best smell to it by far 🙂

This is a hidden gem of a store. They have a great collection of high quality herbs. A perfect place to continue your herbal journey. The owner is super knowledgeable and friendly as well!
