Recently, they implemented a $0.39 charge for each bag, citing improved quality as the reason. Additionally, be cautious with expiration dates, as items are often kept past their sell-by date. Produce tends to spoil or become moldy quicker than expected, which is typical for most commissaries. We primarily use this store for convenience, opting for Albertsons and Costco for larger purchases.

The commissary is good on most items, but should do a demographic of its customers to get a better perspective on what to stock in the store. The store is neat & clean with wide isles to navigate through. Purchases of items with longer use by dates would make for a better shopping experience. I bought a bottle of generic allergy medication and when I got home found that it was past its use by date.

Honestly you can’t beat some of the pricing at the commissary. I understand not everyone wants to shop on base especially if that’s all you’ve really been doing depending on where you’re coming from. However comparing pricing from off base to on the meet selections are way cheaper, along with dairy.
The frozen food/middle aisle stuff is also so similarly priced you don’t really notice much difference.

The staff here has been great.
Parking is good
Always enough carts

Remember if you’re using a bagger they only are paid in tips! So please be kind and remember to give them a few bucks for helping out!

Small commissary compared to others I’ve been to with limited section. Prices are good on most products compared to other grocery stores in the local area; especially in fresh meat. One thing to keep in mind when comparing prices here is that California doesn’t charge sale tax on groceries so you have to factor in the commissary surcharge when making comparisons to prices down town.

A good small Commissary compaired to other bases. Usually only one manned checkout and two self checkouts open but have seen a second open up when needed. Staff have always been great. Checkout line could be better thought out like the one at Luke AFB that's an example of a good setup. Great selection on staple items with the fresh meat section hit or miss on steaks, chicken etc being limited or out of stock at times. CONUS Commissary locations should consider what they do in OCONUS locations in Europe with vacuum packed meats. That saves alot of packaging and it lasts much longer in the freezer.
