SHADY, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND A TOTAL SCAM – AVOID THIS GYM!

This gym is a joke. I signed up, went once, and tried to cancel, but they intentionally made it difficult with some nonsense rule about canceling before the 25th. Instead of helping, they charged me for three extra months plus a late fee, even though I never stepped foot in the place again.
But here’s the worst part: when I called them out on their scammy fees, they got petty and threatening, saying they own other gyms and would charge me an annual fee "on purpose" if I signed up somewhere else. That’s straight-up predatory behavior. If a business has to trap people into paying instead of providing a service worth paying for, that says everything you need to know. Stay FAR away from this place. Plenty of better gyms that won’t try to rob you.

Good luck if you try to cancel membership. Not a bad place, but wasn’t for me after a few months of going. I went down during normal business hours to cancel but nobody was there to help me cancel the account. I contacted the manager by phone and he advised me he was unable to locate my membership to cancel it. I have been back several times hoping to see the manager and cancel my account and return the access cards but he is never there. I have left messages for him and messages at Snap Fitness Corporate, no success. One year later, I’m still a member. Guess ill go through my credit card to have it cancelled and lose my deposit on the membership cards. Don’t know if all this is intentional, but it sure feels like it.

I like the gym itself, however when I no longer had time to go and attempted to cancel my membership they would not return my calls OR emails. I have tried on four different occasions to reach them to cancel and NEVER heard back from them (It doesn't help that nobody is ever there when I have time to go in) I even had to cancel their merchant ID at my bank and they ARE STILL CHARGING ME. I understand they wanted a turn-key operation (so kudos for that), but there HAS to be some way to reach them and SOMEBODY needs to answer the phone or even respond to emails. They get two stars only because they have a very clean facility and Tony seems like a good guy. Dang guys, get it together. I just got charged AGAIN today and it has been FOUR months.

I have called several times to get prices and stopped by once during normal business hours. No one is on site who works there. Kinda suspicious. After reading other reviews, I'm worried that if we get a membership and then have an issue, we'll never get it resolved - as with several other reviewers who could not cancel their membership. I have left several voicemails, emailed as well, and nothing. What sucks is I live so close and this would be the most convenient gym, but if no one is there to get us setup, I'll move on. I hope they are ok as it seems strange no one who works at this gym is responding to anyone or ever there.

I have continuously asked to have my daughter to be taken off my membership and have been ignored by my local snap fitness in Exeter, Ca. I called back in July and was told it was too late for August but was assured it would happen in September. When it didn't happen in September I sent an email using the email contact on the local snap fitness website. When this didn't happen in October I left a note attached to the desk at the Snap Fitness in Exeter. Here we are in November and all of my attempts are still being ignored. At this point I would like to cancel my membership completely, can you tell me how i can now do this without being ignored for the 4th time?

When I join snap fitness i enjoyed it. But i havent been a member there for MONTHS, almost 8 months to be exact but has that stopped them from pulling money out of my account? Absolutely not. I'm starting to think this is a scam. They reimbursed me for a few months and I didnt ask them to also pay me back for the over draft fee cause because of them on my bank account because I thought simple mistake it happens. They waited one month....I'm assuming it's so I thought they would stop charging me and then BAM decided to start pulling money out of my account again! And another overdraft fee for me BECAUSE OF THIS FRAUD GYM. I'm a single mom if I could afford to be going there and paying the membership I would be, but I cant and I cant afford for have money being pulled out of my account every month by a gym I havent attended and canceled months ago. Thanks for taking food out of my kids mouths. Itd be great if I got a return phone call also.

One star is even to much. This place is horrible and a waste of money. Dirty, the carpet or should I see pieces of carpet are nasty. The manager comes and goes as he pleases and won't return call, if he's not there you have people letting in their friends. My wife canceled our membership 3 months ago and they are still charging us.
