Freedom Fitness is one of the great treasures that makes Englewood such a wonderful place in which to live. The gym and bathrooms are always perfectly clean. As you enter, you'll immediately notice that this gym is stocked with the most modern version of every conceivable fitness apparatus, and I have gratefully found that there is hardly ever a wait to use an apparatus anywhere in the gym. When you arrive, Kristie, the Manager, greets you and helps you feel welcomed and comfortable regardless of your fitness level. She is also a kind, patient, and extraordinarily knowledgeable teacher and coach. Additionally, I've asked other patrons for advice about an apparatus, and everyone has been helpful, even eager to show me how an exercise is done. Besides the gym, there is a large studio with spotless wood floor, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, mats, and equipment for stretching. Another large room contains stationary bikes for "spinning" as well as a concert-like sound system that gets spinners' legs pumping. Another area is filled with equipment for aerobic steps, running/walking (treadmills), and similar exercise equipment. And all of this is just the first floor! The second floor contains rooms for Yoga, message, light therapy, and more. I've found that Freedom Fitness is the place to become whom I want to be.

The smaller gym on Cape Haze is closing May 1, 2025. Was convenient for where I live. Will probably let my membership wind down in June and find a closer gym. A shame really.

By far the BEST gym in the area. Top notch new equipment, open 24/7 with key fob access. They even off spin, zumba, pilates, trx,kick boxing, personal training. They really have it all when it comes to being a great gym. All brand new equipment that is amazing!

Simply put, I love this fitness club, The machines appear quite new, work flawessly, are well-maintained, and treated with respect by everyone person I have seen at the club. The various people who staff the front desk are very nice and professional, and treat me with respect. The 24/7 availability is fantastic, as is the easy entry with a phone app. The exercise machines are laid out to a large extent in a linear way, making it easy for me to efficiently do down the line and get my workout done quickly. The club members act like club members, being very friendly and supportive. They keep the place clean, dress appropriately, do not make unnecessary noises, and almost always re-rack the weights and clean the equipment. Although I don't go there primarily due to the pro-liberty posters, photos, and wall inscriptions that are on display, being a patriot myself, it does add to my experience. Please consider joining, you will not regret it!

Living in the area, It was my first time at freedom fitness. My friend, a member of the gym, wanted me to check it out and see if it’s the right fit for me. First off I’d like to start by saying the gym is clean, organized, and overall a good atmosphere. It wasn’t until when I was leaving after my workout this place changed my mind about considering joining. There was no one at the front desk when we walked in. My friend saw the front desk lady 10 mins later and respectfully told her I was here to work out. As I finished my gym session and was heading out the lady, which I believe her name to be Christy, abruptly stopped me. Thinking to myself, maybe she is curious if I’m interested in a membership and can give me information. Not at all. She says demandingly “sign this waiver”. As I proceed to sign the waiver POST workout and hand it to her she says “$10”. First of all, where were you in the first place when I needed to do this You ask me to sign a waiver and demand a payment AFTER my workout… I was speechless for a moment looking at my friend in disarray… avoiding any trouble the $10 was paid.
I can assure you I will not be going back there.
Word of advice to the lady, maybe you shouldn’t work at a gym because your ‘people’ skills suck.

The response from the business was very poor to say the least. The woman that returned my call made me feel like it was an inconvenience 🙁 So sad because it is so close to home... however, I'd rather give my money to a business that seems more interested in me than the voicemail that was left in response to my inquiry.

I've been going for over a year and every month it just keeps getting worse. Two rate increases in six months. Older used equipment is being brought in. The floors are dirty, trashcans full, bathrooms are gross.
They just switched from key fob entry to an app that you install on your phone and unlock the door that way.
For the most expensive gym in town, it's certainly not that great.

Superb 'clerk', brand new youngster with a great happy disposition, self admitting'ly inexperienced but genuinely committed to help and help.
As for other members?
Friendly.
Non judgmental, minding their own routines.
Nothing whatsoever bad to say and I am not shy 'bout that!
