My friend and I stopped in here on a whim and I am so glad we did!! Amanda does an amazing job with getting to know her customers throughout the process of making perfumes and custom oils. All of the products were sustainably sourced and you could feel how much passion she had for providing people with great experiences, thanks again!!

This place is the BEST.
Tinctures to cure and Anna at the bar is a Godess alchemist who will blend for you. Local perks and bulk refill on all of my soap and detergent with only the top bio…, good for earth stuff.
I could go on.

Love love love this apothecary! a kid in a candy shop here. Absolutely one of my favorite places to visit in Joshua Tree. I love getting to make the essential oil blends end have created some of my absolute favorite combinations. (Asides from some the premade blends they have in the shop.) I love that they still had some of the combination blends I made before. Anna was so patient, kind, and generous to help put them together! Thank you so much!!! 🙏💖

Amazing shop!!! I got the heart tincture and the aswagandha tincture... both are incredible. The lady in the store helped me pick out my items and she was so welcoming. There is a very loving vibe in the shop, and the tinctures you pick truly help. I am excited to go back during my next visit.

Lovely little shop. Very happy to see a pretty much exclusively herbal place doing seemingly well, especially outside a major city. Proprietor is very sweet and helpful to boot.

The shelves and tables are well-stocked, without feeling overcrowded. The balance of topical 'beauty' and internal health products is nice, as is the mix of items locally-made (including by the herbalist owner) to those less local. There's a pretty equal amount of each.

Items are reasonably priced considering their quality and the store's semi-remote location.

Grateful Desert clearly understands its role as a specialty shop, as many of its products are unique or otherwise hard to find.

Visited the store while in Joshua Tree. The best selection of everything and the staff so friendly. Best service and when I ran out, they shipped me some more. If you're looking for anything in the apothecary with an aromatherapy bar, look no further.
