I was looking for a nice gym to stop into on my work trip to Culver City and I’m so so happy I did. Really pleased with the entire experience of GymTonic. Machines are brand new and are relevant machines that are sought after such as Hip Thrust, Hack Squats, etc. It was so clean and full of amenities - including a sauna, towel warmer, the best filtered water dispenser, meditation room. The locker rooms were equipped with toiletries and various feminine products. Overall I was impressed at the variety of equipment and amenities there - and it wasn’t too busy and overwhelming when I went. I would definitely recommend this gym. Lastly the customer service was amazing. Grace at the front desk welcomed me with such warmth and kindness. Really appreciated that energy walking into a new gym. Thank you Grace ♥️

This is hands down the best gym in the LA area! Good vibes and energy from the staff and other gym members. I never had to wait in line for a machine and the gym itself was always very clean. Mark was amazing, he helped sign me up initially and answered any questions I had. When I was in a stressful situation with relocating for a my job suddenly, Dakota made the cancelation process easy. I am so sad I had to cancel my membership here but if I’m ever back in the area I will 1,000% be returning! This truly is the most genuine gym community, which is difficult to find in the LA area. I mostly strength train and they had all the necessary equipment to get the job done. I was able to take the restorative yoga class with Claire and that was the most relaxed I have been in a long time, highly recommend! I could go on forever about how amazing this gym and the staff is. Even though I was only a member for a short period of time, it was a great experience all around. Thank you gym tonic!

So far it’s been great, been going here a month. The gym is boutique, not a national Gym like equinox, but is never over-crowded and often you can do exactly what you came in to do. You still get all the attention and people knew my name within a week, very cool. I like the couple classes and love how clean everything is and that all the weights are always put away. If I have a gripe, it’s that I wish the gym app could better integrate with my trainer but even big name gyms like lifetime and equinox didn’t have that but it’s the only “con” I could think of! Very happy to be here.

Attention all Gym owners, if you can come within a mile of what GymTonic offers; you’re winning at life.

From my first experience, walking in the front door and right away greeted by one of their amazing staff members “Grace, who is Just an incredible human being overall. I was then welcomed by another staff member “Jackson” who offered me water or coffee, before giving me a tour of the facility.

Just for the simple fact that staff members made eye contact with me and greeted me like a human being instead of what you get at most gyms when you walk in the front door, which unfortunately, is usually no response at all because their staff can’t bear to take their eyes off their phones, or they’re just rude in general.

This place is different!!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻. You also don’t have to worry about a bunch of 20-year-old college kids from UCLA running around the gym, taking selfies with their shirts off, Like you would see it pretty much any in every single LA Fitness in the area…lol.

The gym is so unbelievably clean that you could probably eat off the floor (not recommended, but jus saying… L O L), not to mention every one of their staff members from custodial staff To trainers, to Specialty chiropractic and physical therapy specialist to managerial staff are ALL Incredibly friendly and outgoing to everyone.

Sorry for the long post/review, but I had to save the BEST for last. After joining this gym, I unfortunately had to get a Arthroscopic knee operation through the VA here in West LA. If I would’ve listened to the VA and Just used their therapy treatments once a month I would still probably be in crutches or worse.

Instead, I decided to be proactive and I hire, I would say hands-down one of the best personal trainers I have ever come across in my entire LIFE!!!!.

Her name is Courtney Crump and she is an absolute rockstar!!!!, If you’re coming out off a medical procedure and may need help getting your mind, body and spirit healthy again, this woman can do it.

I’m currently 10 weeks post surgery and because of Courtney I am able to do things physically I have not been able to do an over 20 years. She’s not only the kind of person that will show you exactly what to do and what not to do, but more importantly, she’s going to teach you the why’s and why not’s and helping you to to have a better understanding on Nutrition and body mechanics. I cannot say enough good things her. She has helped give me my life back 🙏🏻🥹

GymTonic is not just a gym, it’s a community and it’s a team of educated fitness professionals who genuinely care about every single one of their clients and members. This gym needs to be in EVERY CITY!!! ❤️💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

As a new member of Gym Tonic, I’m not entirely satisfied. One of the main reasons I joined was the outdoor turf, but it’s not accessible during all business hours as I was initially told. The turf is connected to the gym through two large garage doors, which must remain closed if the weather is deemed "too hot" or "too cold" to maintain indoor temperatures. Members can only use the turf when the doors are open, making access entirely dependent on the outdoor temperature.

Even if a member agrees to keep the doors closed while using the turf, staff are not allowed to grant access. I’ve encountered this issue during early morning workouts when it’s cooler, and despite offering to keep the doors shut, I was still denied access. There’s also a gate surrounding the turf with an opening that could serve as another entry/exit point; but access to the outdoor turf is not permitted if the main entrance doors are close. I'm not too sure the purpose of this policy.

These restrictions feel excessive, especially compared to other gyms with outdoor turfs. Most allow full access regardless of the outdoor temperature, and Gym Tonic doesn’t clearly define what the temperature cut off for "too hot" or "too cold." For example, at Equinox, I’ve been able to use the outdoor turf when it was 50°F outside.

Beyond this, Gym Tonic feels small compared to other gyms in its price range. The outdoor turf could make it feel more spacious, but with limited access, the gym feels even smaller.

On the positive side, the gym is exceptionally clean, thanks to the hardworking cleaning staff, who truly are the heart of the facility. Honestly, they are the hardest working cleaning crew that I have ever encountered. If the cleaning crew reads this review, "Thank you for all you do!" Additionally, the manager offered to cancel my membership, which shows good customer service. However, the next closest gym with an outdoor turf adds too much time to my morning commute, so I’ve decided to keep my membership for now.

In summary, the restrictions on the outdoor turf significantly diminish the experience, especially for members like me who value this feature.

I'm willing to update my review if this policy ever changes.

I rarely leave reviews but just finished my first workout and was inspired to share how exceptional my experience was. The space is remarkable: spotless, chic and decked wall-to-wall with every piece of equipment and machinery you can imagine, plus spaces for recovery/classes/stretching/outdoor workout; and the staff were just so incredibly warm and friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend enough and look forward to seeing them soar.

I love this gym!!! It's a beautiful space with the latest equipment. I worked out at other gyms for years and feel my muscle groups getting challenged in new ways. The staff is extremely cool and nice. I really enjoy this place!

The sexiest most pleasing good-looking, gym I’ve ever seen! Great staff, offers personal training and other services and recovery from top tier coaches! They have flow water, ethically, sourced clothing, 2 outdoor spaces and incredible locker rooms! If you haven’t checked it out yet, I would recommend you go! Can’t help but to feel good as soon as you step in!
