Absolutely LOVE this place. As with any of the Awesome JBER fitness centers - if members paid to keep WiFi, that would be icing on the cake. I would, personally, pay a small fee to have WiFi to access training apps and music.

There's very little equipment but for cardio, this is a good option in the middle of an Alaskan Winter

It's 24/7, so that's pretty great considering the occasionally weird hours of the other two gyms. A pretty large indoor track, all things considering. Sparse equipment and a high amount of traffic, mostly CrossFit emphasis and workouts encouraged.

Lots of issues with air quality, and the shower area leaves a lot to be desired. Bring shower shoes for sure.

Great indoor gym with track. Has pretty much everything you need, from cardio to lifting

Has a decent amount of equipment, indoor track and is open 24 hours. Since it's in an old hanger, the air is hard to breathe. If your just going for the equipment or a light jog around the track I would recommend, but for sprints or long distance I would discourage using this track.

Everything you need for a great workout coupled with an environment to motivate the mindset of a servicemember. The main portion of the gym is completely open so you can see and hear everyone working out which might be the next best thing to reach your PR's. Mostly crossfit oriented equipment but with free weights, machines, and a ninja course, you'd be hard pressed to find a reason not to go here. The main gym area is surrounded with a track that's 8 laps for a mile with comfortably wide turns to train for your next PT test. Sleds, boxes, tires, squat racks, pullup bars, TRX equipment, treadmills, wall balls, Jacob's ladders, and a ninja course.. I mean, come on.. at least check it out.. Pretty legit.

I like the gym itself it's really handy. I haven't noticed anything about the air quality but I took my daughter there and she couldn't stop sneezing, she's 4 so she's not pretending because of a pt test. Maybe my old lungs are just used to it. Probably something wrong with the air there, but it's fine for me

This place needs to be mowed down. The only reason why it's up is the fact that there's history under it and pt test are held there. We have two other gyms, let's use them and renovate h5 for the better good.
