Dont go when they open! Tried coming here twice (wasted gas & time, 50 min round trip) and can not get seen due to the archaic walk-in system they use. There were 7+ people ahead of me. I even tried arriving 20 min before they open, waiting outside the door and all of sudden a whole bunch of ppl came out of their cars, formed a line and informed me that they're all ahead of me? Some had been waiting over 3 hours!! I had to leave because I have a life and can't sit around waiting. It's utterly ridiculous and unfortunate. He was highly recommended, but this system does not work.
*UPDATE* I gave it one last shot and got seen! Expect to be there at least 1.5 hours (waiting, consult, herb prep). Total cost w/consult & herbs for a week in the low $100s. Dr. is nice, caring, and sincere; a little hard to understand since he wears a mask. Hoping for the best?

It’s been about 2 months since I first visited this Chinese doctor. I was very tired all the time (adrenal fatigue), there are other issues too. I knew Chinese medicine was supposed to take a long time, I was expecting to feel a little effect after several months, but after only 1.5 months I had a bit more energy. This is with cooking the herbs twice, making one day’s worth of herbs into two day’s worth. This guy is good!

I used to go there when they were located at the Chinese Cultural Center in Phoenix. Now that they are located in Laveen, its quite the haul for me. I have driven 45 minutes one way twice, in the last 6 months but the wait was too long so I left. Last time was 8 people ahead of me and that would be a min of 2 hours plus waiting for your herbs to be prepared. Dont get me wrong, he is a great herbalist and I highly recommend, but its hit or miss over there now.

I've been going here for 10 years and have not had a common cold since I started taking one of their teas. There is only one person who speaks a lil bit of English but they do well, if you listen. I do not recommend calling them unless you know Mandarin 🙂 SUPER SWEET people though and the DR. visit is cheap but the teas are expensive... BUT, they work and WORK WELL if you listen to their instructions.

If you take a lot of chemical medicine though you should of course consult an HERBALIST that does speak your language these herbs are strong and can effect a person quickly and have the possibility of not interacting well with western medicine.

I have been seeing the herbalist for 6+ months. His diagnosis is so accurate is is 'scary'. I had numerous nagging aches and pains and had trouble sleeping. After about 3 weeks of visits, my pain was gone and I definitely sleep better. I take the daily dose of herbs and use it again the next day, just adding water again. I too pay about $8.00 per day, but when it helps like it does, I'm pleased to spend that much. No side effects, no addiction, no recovery time, etc.
