To say I had a great experience here is not enough.

I first came to In Due Season in 2021, pregnant with my 2nd. I came from a very traumatic hospital vaginal birth whom both the OB and hospital staff failed to respect my wishes, advocate for me, and lacked shared informed consent in 2016 which resulted in a severe hemorrhage and a close call to going to the OR due to the infamous cascade of events from unnecessary interventions. I came back to In Due Season in 2023 with my 3rd.

Both were beautiful birth center births, one in the water with Khamissa, another with a sticky shoulder where Lucie noticed and reacted quickly.

The care I received was above and beyond what I could have wished for.
They worked diligently with me to get a document I needed for my 3rd for dental work. I had a blood incompatibility with my 2nd child (not the typical RhD incompatibility - both husband and I are O+ - but anti-E that did not come up on prenatal labwork) and the office was wonderful when my 2nd was Coomb's + AND with helping me obtain an NIPT blood test to determine if my 3rd had the same antigen when I wished to have testing performed. I recall that they were willing to work alongside MFM in the event bloodwork showed that we should.
I made a few calls to Lucie when #3 had me in prodromal labor for a few days (he took the long route to turn his head). She was very patient and gave me instructions on how to aid him in turning his head. On the day of the birth, I came in and had not progressed much (contractions were consistent). Lucie sent me to walk at Hobby Lobby for a few hours, progressed 6cm, and baby was there 3 hours later. Such a great memory my husband and I have!

All the staff is wonderful, from Kristan, Sara, Kendra, Dr. Ledbetter, Lucie, Khamissa, sonographer Tish (took a few times with #3 because he was stubborn with providing the anatomical structures needed but Tish was patient), and Heidi from 2021 (Unforgettable! She cried as I cried in the water with my 2nd because I actually did it and I could hold my baby. I did not get to hold my 1st in the hospital for 63 minutes - I watched the clock).

I could write more but I won't because I hope what I wrote is enough. The positive impact and healing they made on my life journey is indescribable.

I traveled from Brandon both times and would do it again.

What led us to in Due Season was we wanted to avoid the hospital, and we wanted to be treated as a person not as a number. All the midwives knew my wife by name and knew my baby's gender and name as well, the birthing center is very comfortable and has a nice setup consisting of beds, balls, showers, and even a kitchen. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the care, support and professionalism of in due season. Thanks to in Due Season my wife was able to have the birth that she wanted. I wanted to give a special shoutout to Khamissa her compassion, pep talks, affection, and motherly empathy truly helped my wife overcome any fears with going into labor. We truly would not have had the amazing experience we had without in Due Season!

I’m a student midwife and I had the opportunity to shadow Khamissa for a few days. She is so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, wise and caring. The way she talks to and interacts with expecting moms and their families is so wonderful because you can just feel how much she genuinely loves what she does and it is truly inspiring! I’ve had the pleasure of delivering twice with Khamissa at In Due Season. Both times I enjoyed my prenatal visits with all of the midwives and student midwives. Any concerns or questions I had were answered with reassurance, empathy and accuracy. I loved that natural and holistic approaches were given to remedy my discomforts. My experience giving birth was also amazing! With my first child I birthed in the inflatable tub and my husband was able to join me which made it an amazing first time experience. The second time I birthed in the claw foot tub on my own, which was a unique and proud moment for myself. In both of my experiences Ms. Khamissa and the attending midwife with her were always so encouraging, checking mine and my babies’ vitals, keeping us hydrated and speaking uplifting and empowering words. We will be having any and all of our children here at In Due Season and recommend you do too!

After having care for my first pregnancy (ended in miscarriage) at a different birth center, I knew I needed some place better for this pregnancy. The first birth center was close to my house but all of the midwives were dismissive.
I had heard great things about In Due Season from a friend of a friend and we took the 30-45min drive to see if it was a good fit. From the tour and first appointments I knew it was a great fit, all of the staff was very friendly and I loved that they had a sonographer on staff so I wouldn’t have to go to a separate office for ultrasounds. Khamissa saw me for most of my prenatal appointments and was always super kind and took her time answering all of my questions. Whenever I called the midwife hotline with worry I would receive a quick and calming response. My last few appointments and birth were with Lucie and she was amazing!!
I ended up leaking amniotic fluid which I was convinced meant my birth would be traumatic and end in a hospital intervention. Lucie was calm the whole time, and insured I felt the same way when I came in that morning and had an ultrasound to make sure my fluid levels were okay. I was started on a herbal tincture to start my labor and within a few hours I was in a birthing suite in active labor. The suite was very comfortable and private and had enough room for my husband, mom, sister in law, and birth team. Laboring was hard, but Lucie was very knowledgeable in different positions to help speed up babies decent. Our girl was born healthy at 38 weeks with a 12 hour labor!
I was happy with the care I received immediately after birth as well, everyone made sure I was okay and I was glad that though a natural clinic they had antibiotics and IV fluids which were necessary for my recovery.
My mom who was there for my birth has many years experience as a labor and delivery nurse. She was so happy with the experience I had and was amazed at how much better the natural birthing experience was.

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience at In Due Season for both our prenatal care and the birth of our son. From the start, we felt supported by the amazing staff, including midwives Lucie, Khamissa and Q, who were knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to all our needs. The front office ladies were also incredibly kind and helpful, making every visit smooth and stress-free.

Now, as my son is just a week away from turning 7 months, I still look back on the care and support we received with so much gratitude. My birth experience was everything I had hoped for, and I am so thankful to the entire team for helping us bring our little one into the world. In Due Season truly made our journey special, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

I am incredibly thankful for my midwives, Lucy and Annette. Their knowledge, skill, and trustworthiness made all the difference in helping me achieve a successful HBA2C. I cannot thank them enough for their unwavering support and for making this the most empowering and beautiful birthing experience I’ve ever had.

My previous two hospital births were very difficult, and I was coerced into C-sections both times by doctors who weren’t honest with me. This time, I took the time to educate myself, prepare my body, put my trust in the Lord, and work with amazing, trustworthy midwives—and I finally experienced the birth I had always dreamed of.

I also love that this birth center is Christ-centered, which made the experience even more meaningful for me.

All around an answer to two years of praying to the Lord to help me out of the pattern of unnecessary intervention.
