Great gym, been going for a few years now. Very no nonsense and affordable. You won't pay for unnecessary amenities like spas or group classes here. Always has plenty of equipment available even at peak times.

There is one caveat, and it's more of a preference thing: the clientele is very much more on the serious bodybuilder/model side of things. Everyone is very nice and friendly, though, but if that's not your vibe it might not be the place for you.

Visited Independence Gym during a recent trip to Scottsdale. Very nice and clean gym, and the week pass is really affordable ($45).

Way better than using a hotel gym. Machines are legit and there are a ton of serious lifters there.

Hit up independence gym if you’re in town and want a serious gym.

I liked this gym at first because of the wide variety of equipment. As I’ve continued to workout here, I’ve noticed a very pretentious vibe from the staff and the gym goers. The gym is marketed to people getting personal training and to body builders/Instagram gym bros. I am not in the greatest shape, but I’m trying, and I do not appreciate the dirty looks or snide comments from the staff and others when I’m just doing my best and putting effort in. Additionally, a large jeep scratched my car BAD in the parking lot, which is disappointing. I won’t be going back, would rather take my money to somewhere more inviting and less instagram obsessed.

I travel quite a bit so I went on Google maps to find the best gym in Scottsdale. Independence gym came up. Independence is an amazing fitness center that has CrossFit equipment, cardio machines as well as enough weightlifting equipment for any serious bodybuilder. It has a fantastic atmosphere and it makes you feel motivated to go to the gym. Derek the general manager even welcomed me and we chatted. I would highly recommend working out at Independence.

Large one room design... open concept. Friendly, professional, and helpful staff. Missing a few of my favorite types of equipment but easily for anyone to get a workout here.

I mean its a Gym but this gym is a place where #Results happen. I could sit here and post on these pics all day but lets be honest here, we can only see results by doing so get out there and go check this spot out as you won't be disappointed.

Can you dig it. A gym that has absolutely everything. The folks that work here and workout here are just amazing folks. The trainers are THE BEST IN THE VALLEY. Most of all its where we can get buff swole and or just maintain the bodies dynamics. I love the way they greet you and maintain everything within never have had an issue with anything at this gym unlike the other corporate guys. This gym makes the gym industry different from the rest. Slide in and check it out for yourself. #Scottsdale #Gym
