Becoming a first-time parent comes with an enormous amount of different emotions. There were times when I would get nervous, scared, or anxious, but after every conversation I would have with Priscilla, I felt confident, empowered, and better prepared for the arrival of my precious baby girl. Some of the many topics Priscilla and I would discuss were emotional, physical, and informational support for me and my husband before, during, and after birth. Priscilla was also my advocate during my birthing. We had several conversations about my goals, and when I was having contractions, Priscilla and my husband would ask questions on my behalf. I couldn't have had a better birthing experience.

Priscilla is passionate about her job and knowledgeable in so many topics. She even capsulated my placenta. I noticed a big difference in my milk supply and postpartum journey.

I chose to have an unmedicated birth at home for my first child. That experience would entail many challenges that I was not prepared for. Priscilla made me realize that I have a huge role in this pregnancy as a father and husband. Usually, in the mindset of a male figure, I believe that the mom does all the work in the pregnancy journey, but in reality, that’s not the case. I realize that being by my wife’s side allowed her to have a smooth/easy pregnancy, especially in the delivery room, by massaging her feet, reminiscing about beautiful moments in our lives, and chanting positive messages to distract her from the pain of delivering. I believe being part of my wife’s support system is a big part of our pregnancy journey.

That said, with the teachings and guidance Priscilla offered, I will keep hiring her to be our doula, and I highly recommend that first-time parents reach out to her for an amazing pregnancy experience. ”
