Hal Malmud genuinely helped me. I was about to give up hope before seeing him. I had horrible irritable bowel syndrome and menstrual issues. After 1 visit with him, I felt a difference in my body. After a month of weekly visits I felt like my old self again. It's been over 3 years and I continue to see him periodically because I am reaching new places in healing I never imagined. A true practitioner of Chinese medicine can heal on a physical (pain), mental (mental health issues) , and spiritual level. He is one of them. Hal Malmud is a thoughtful and skilled Chinese doctor. I met Hal many years ago when we were studying Chinese at the State University of NY. Hal went to Taiwan and I was studying and working in Hong Kong and China and sometimes Taiwan in the film industry. Years later, I discovered that Hal had relocated to the Bay Area. Faced with diabetes, edema. high blood pressure, knee problems and a ruptured disc pressing on nerve root, I started seeing Hal. The edema is now much better and I am already seeing some relief in my back. He is a great listener and he sources herbs carefully. He suggests movement and exercises and how to improve my overall health.

My friend referred me to Hal when I injured myself working out. He fixed me up incredibly fast. And he can do wonders with creating herbal formulas. He was able to see conditions that I didn't know I had (which I started showing symptoms months later) then fixed me up right away when it happened.

He was able to tell what was going on with my mom and brother's health within minutes of meeting them without me or them having said a word.

Most importantly, he has great ethics and doesn't overcharge for herbs like a lot of places do. A lot of TCM doctors like to add expensive herbs just to oversell their formula, but Hal will only use herbs that are best suited for your condition and will be a fraction of the cost of other formulas.
