Working with Sam since late July has been such a great experience! He really listens to my unique set of circumstances, using a phased approach to help remedy my issues, which is far less overwhelming than trying to fix everything at once. I went looking for ways to alleviate brain fog, anxiety, and burnout without being prescribed anti-depressants. Sam is very knowledgable and good at explaining the why behind the plan he set up for me, which is specific to my needs and not a one size fits all. Before I went I was concerned because I do take a couple of prescriptions but Sam is able to work within that. I am happy with the results so far and look forward to continuing down this path!

Try and imagine you are a 14-year-old just starting freshman year in high school and your world shuts down. You start fainting up to over 70 times a day (causing numerous concussions), excruciating body aches (cannot stand to be touched), noise sensitivity, migraines, light sensitivity, extreme nausea, sensitivity to medication…just to name the major ones. You are now given a diagnosis—one that you believe does not explain all of it but are willing to work with it.

Now, the diagnosis given was not curable, only treating the symptoms as they occur. Fast forward TWO years of living in a completely dark room using a cane, sometimes a wheelchair, online schooling, little socialization with friends and then a friend mentions if we have researched MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome).
Made an appt with an allergist, was put on Zyrtec and Pepcid and within TWO days no fainting. This did ease some of the other symptoms slightly, but not to where she could thrive.

Fast forward a couple of months of research and we found “Sam”. She instantly connected with Sam; not only because he has vast knowledge of the systems of the body, alternative sources, a great personality and highly professional, but he was able to talk to her about her symptoms and knew how her body was reacting to her own cells. He validated her years of pain and frustration. He took his time and ensured that both her and I understood everything that he was explaining and answered all our questions
He developed her plan (had a late day appointment, but he had her plan developed and sent to us the next day). He is very detailed and has personally checked up on her progress continually. We have had questions/concerns in between appointments and Sam has always been there and treated her promptly. Within one week of her following her regime, she is active, back at school in person, smiling and enjoying being a teenager for the first time in two years! We are only beginning our path with Sam, but we are looking forward to ensuring she is set on her path to success to a healthy version of herself.

Sam is where he is supposed to be…not everyone in life can experience that, but I am thankful he has found his purpose! I am not a “mushy” person, but Sam has brought back parts of our daughter that we were wondering if we would ever experience again, and for that I don’t have the vocabulary to express our gratitude!

Sam is passionate about helping people. He has so much knowledge around the science of the human body, nutrition and herbal medicine. Sam works to design a health plan specific to the individual. He has helped several of my friends and family with differing issues move to a healthier place, and get off prescription medications. Also, Sam makes himself available for questions/concerns with no additional cost and is sensitive about keeping costs as low as possible.

I've only been seeing Sam for around a month but he's already helped me with a life long digestive issue. I had been having some mild digestive issues for a while when they suddenly and dramatically became much worse. At a certain point I was afraid to eat for the discomfort it would cause and was losing precious weight as a result. Over-the-counter remedies had done little assuage my condition, and waiting times for diagnostic testing through my physicians left me feeling adrift and powerless.

Sam took the time to listen to my complaints and offered practical, actionable advice. With his guidance I was able to understand what was happening, restrict my diet and find relief. It has been a long road -- I'm rather attached to my foods! -- but his encouragement helped me stay the course and stick to the plan. More than relief, his help gave me back a sense of agency; no longer was my affliction a mystery. Things could get better. And they did.

I'm now hopeful and my symptoms are greatly reduced since contacting Sam a few months back. I am slowly reintroducing to my diet things which I thought might forever be out of reach. With Sam's help, I know what I need to do to once again enjoy what I like at times while taking better care with my diet to ensure my gut stays healthy and resilient.
