Awful. There are so many terrible things about this place. Where do I start? I just cancelled my membership after being a member for a year. I worked out 3-5 times a week in that time.

1.- The customer service is awful. Chris the manager is aloof and quite rude. The front office staff get genuinely bothered if you have a question or comment. I must say that the physical trainers are very sweet and nice. One of the few highlights.

2.- The facility. It is a newer facility so the management gets by on that fact and cleaning is inconsistent and not very good. The pool is often filled with hair, spiders and other floaties. It is gross.

3.- The facility. The mens sauna room was out of order for most of the year. The facility itself was closed for a week in July and they telling us we could just go to the Salinas one was said like they were doing us such a favor.

4.- No Lifeguard. The majority of the patrons here are elderly and there is absolutely no one in the pool section to monitor or supervise. A staff member walks by every once in awhile, but if there is an emergency with one of the elder patients using the pools, it would take some time for them to know. Not ok. No one monitors people showering before using the pool, which is probably why it is so filthy. I have seen on multiple occasions patients swimming in their underwear, or wearing shoes, or staff members themselves going in after a weight workout, sweaty and disgusting.

5.- Expensive - Go to the Monterey Sports Center. Clean, nice , brand new equipment... for less.

I am joining the gym this week. Clean and the pool and hot tub and sauna are so we'll up to date. Well I joined the gym. My neighbor also joined the gym. The membership fee is good for the price. Have lots of exercising machine.

Went in today at 2:50 feb 4th and it says they close at 4 . I didn’t see no signs or notifications of it being closed , drove out here to head back home , unacceptable how am I paying 80 something dollars just to leave without getting my moneys worth .

This place is the whole package for physical wellness needs. The hot tub warm pool and lap pool are always clean and stay at the proper temperatures at all times. I wish they had more family style restrooms. If you are a different set caregiver, you can only go at certain times because they family bathrooms are not always available.

After a terrible car accident I was stuck in a nursing home on my back for two years. That’s when my father got the idea to sign me up for aquatic physical therapy at the montage wellnes center. After six months I was able to walk in and out of the pool no longer having to use the wheelchair lift give me freedom to come more frequently and on my own as a private member.
My father and I started going together three times a week, in the first two years I lost 100 pounds and graduated out of the wheelchair. I have seen many people, especially injured and elderly, become strong and independent again. Thanks to the wonderful facilities and staff, I went from a diagnosis of never leaving the nursing home again to being able to drive and walk again. The staff often challenged and inspired my workouts both through classes and personal training. I especially encourage anyone struggling with doing physical therapy on land to come to the facility and try out physical therapy in water. Starting with a Dr’s reference to Aquatic PT is how I got started and took all the fear out of it. They have ‘family’ changing rooms so my Dad could join and help me.

This place is very nice. Spread out and not a meat market. Clean and comfortable. There are 2 pools and a hot tub! One pool is warm and they have water aerobics in it. You can actually get an excellent workout doing that. Good music too! The main pool is a nice temperature too-not too cold-perfect. It’s never crowded. It has a family friendly atmosphere. I first came to Montage Wellness Center for physical therapy for bad knees. The warm water pool helped a lot as well as the trainers. I joined the gym during the holiday special. For someone on disability this is very pricey to pay $80 a month. I will try to keep going but I might need to cancel the membership due to cost.
