Do not join this gym unless:

1. You are willing to have a sauna never work consistently while you are paying for it.

2. You have no problem with foul smelling locker rooms and showers.

3. You have no issue with loud rock music or profane rap music blaring even during the quiet hours of 2am, seven days a week.

4. You are ok with calling the gym telephone numbers that never work. Go ahead. Call either number and see if they work. They are never answered.

5. You like the men's sauna when it smells moldy and the thermostat never gets higher than 128 degrees.

I do not know why they advertise the sauna but it is apparent people who have no interest in running a wellness facility operate this gym.

We can do better. The ONLY reason I joined is for access to the 24 hour sauna which has not worked since December 2024. Why am I still paying for a service I am being ripped off from? I can't even call the gym to suspect my membership contingent on repair of the sauna, which is why I am writing this review.

You pay, they PLAY with your money. Us baby boomers deserve better.

My daughter and I signed up to try out this gym. We made an appointment online and received multiple reminders about our first session. We arrived 3 minutes early for our 8am appointment. The employee at the front desk watched us try to open the code key door while she drank her smoothie. Finally another member let us in. We explained we were here for a first time tour. She told us we had to have an appointment (which we did) and that we could only come between 8-9am (which it was). She was extremely rude and inflexible. Leaving a drivers license was required (which was never communicated in any of the texts I received). We offered a picture of an id, a credit card- even car keys as security. I cannot state strongly enough how unpleasant and unmotivated to welcome new gym members she was. Worst gym experience ever!!!! Don't waste your time here.

I really like this gym, great layout and selection of equipment. Only giving 3 stars as the biggest deciding factor for me when joining this gym was the sauna, however the sauna in the women’s locker room has been broken for over to 6 months now and still hasn’t been fixed which is disappointing.

I just moved to Florida from NJ. This gym has been so amazing to me from the kind and caring staff, to the welcoming and super kind members.

I enjoy the fact that it is loaded with absolutely perfect machines and they truly built a community. If youre a competitive bodybuilder, athlete or casual lifter looking to take care of your health this is one of the best gyms I have been to and have been to many around the world! You wont be disappointed, the Gen Manager Derryck is the best as are the owners and rest of the staff. Grateful to have this 24 hour facility!

Was struggling to find a gym here in North Port area being new to Florida for about a year now, and literally drove by them and turned around to check it out. The young man behind the counter was polite, professional and eager to show me around. Now after a couple of months being there feel I can write an honest review based on being there for a minute now.

First this gym is full of serious lifters, and fitness enthusiasts never seen so many huge folks in one location (and all ages), so be warned of intimidation factor if this sort of thing bothers you, I see it as a motivating factor. they have plenty of equipment to date never had to wait for anything, this gym is no BS one of my hang ups was folks milling around, on phones, talking, texting and taking forever on equipment. I do not see a lot of that here folks are about working out and getting down to business and for the most part being a younger crowd (I am 58) it is refreshing to see.

In a town where you only have a couple choices, purple gym with its vast number of problems and issues or a 24hr one with not near the amount of equipment, or the YMCA with outrages fees and old equipment, this place is a go to for sure. Only reason I gave it 4 stars (realistically 4.5) is that is an older building, and a lot of damage to bldg., mirrors, mats bubbling up, some wore out equipment (handles and such) minor things, but make no mistake this is a no hassle, get'er done kind of gym and worth a look and the monthly fees are very competitive and fair! This gym has really helped me get back into a decent routine! Thanks Muscle Asylum!

This gym is incredible. The new ownership has made so many great changes and it has everything you need for a great workout and recovery. The manager Derryck and the entire staff do an excellent job of maintaining the facility and taking care of members.

By far one of the best gyms in Florida! Muscle Asylum Create an atmosphere for not just competitive bodybuilders, but individuals who are looking to improve their quality of life. Staff are highly professional and care for their patrons. If you’re a Florida resident or just passing through, I highly recommend coming to Muscle Asylum.

Needless to say this gym is as perfect as they come. Great staff, amazing equipment, and extremely welcoming staff. This is the gym we needed in our area and much thanks to Derryck for helping me set up my membership very easily and giving me a tour of the place. I have officially become a part of a new family.
