Dr Elsa Cruz will constantly have to ask you the same questions for basic info about you, despite claiming to "have [her] notes with her". She has missed multiple appointments and prescribed me a new medication that landed me in the ER because she failed to meet both follow up appointments in 3 weeks. The meetings she does make it to are short, and she seems to always get the wrong ideas.
Please do not see her. She may cause you or a loved one serious harm. I have permanent nerve damage from another medication she gave me and kept me on for months despite me telling her of the bad effects it was having.

I have never written an online review for anything ever so this should go to show how awful Elsa Cruz is. I have been seeing her for about 9 months and every single appointment without failure this woman has shown up at least half an hour late. Then, all she does is make small talk and prescribes random medication without any consideration or explanation to the patient. She is incredibly unprofessional and her negligence has caused many problems in my life because of her inability to interact with patients. If I could give 0 stars I would. Also, it should be noted that the only five star rating for this center is herself.

What an incredible waste of time seeing this woman was. I missed work for a 10 am appointment. Waited 20 minutes, then was asked to GO HOME for an hour and come back, as she had a teleconference she was supposed to participate in. Didn't end up seeing her until almost noon. Mind you, I've been taking the same medication that has been working well for me for the last four years, so I was not interested in switching, just needed a refill. She then tells me I will need to take a blood test before our next appointment to see which medications will work best for me, which I had already expressed I was not interested in and is a bizarre request that I've never been asked by a psychiatrist before. She then says that I will have to continuously come back and repeat this process every month because she doesn't write refill prescriptions. She said don't even worry about making appointments just come in and I'll see you when I see you. She obviously wants to get paid once a month for me to miss several hours of work to tell her that my medication is continuing to perform exactly the way it has been long before I started seeing her. She obviously has no respect for anyone's time but her own. Now I need to make ANOTHER appointment with ANOTHER physician to get my prescription refilled.

This Dr is beyond negligent
They do not refill my moms prescriptions on time ever! our pharmacy which is excellent Kramer’s in Agoura Hills calls her repeatedly and gets no response
When I took my mom there she’s 82 the Dr didn’t recall or have any important info about what she was taking currently
She seems to be on something drugs wise herself . She will be reported by me yo the medical board. She makes her patients wait over an hour and has horrible staff support DO NOT USE HER YOU WILL BE SORRY

I have never ever left a review in my life, so here we go. I made an appointment with her (my first time ever seeing any kind of mental health specialist after struggling for YEARS). I was beyond nervous. She kept me waiting for 30 minutes, did not listen when I spoke, little rude things like that. During my session, she interrupted me and took two different phone calls. She asked me an extremely upsetting question that brought up some truly terrible flashbacks, and then answered the second phone call and didn’t listen to what my answer was. She walked to the waiting room to talk to a patient and left the door wide open with me on the couch, feeling very exposed. She then came back and had me fill out a questionnaire in a different room while she saw two other patients in her office (DURING MY APPOINTMENT). She left me in this room with the screening questionnaire alone for well over 20 minutes, so I left. I was in complete shock. This was the first time I have ever considered opening up about a lot of things and she made me feel completely insignificant and unheard. I understand that she is busy and her receptionist had called in sick, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that I was left sobbing in my car with reopened trauma thanks to her.

DO NOT go to Elsa Cruz if you are new patient taking a controlled substance. She will disregard your existing diagnosis, without reviewing prior medical records; then deny your existing treatment, prescribe whatever random drug that won’t flag the FDA, then shew you out of her office and shut the door in your face.

Her negligence caused me to miss 2 days of work, then have to pay $500+ to go to the ER just to get my prescription filled. When I showed the pharmacist the prescription Elsa Cruz wrote for me, even the pharmacist refused to fill it due to the extreme side effects I would’ve experienced. The medication she prescribed is for blood pressure; though she never took my blood pressure, and I wasn’t even there for anything related to my blood pressure. Lastly, want to reiterate everyone else’s sentiments that she was 45 minutes late for my appointment as well.

Please save yourself the aggravation. This woman is reckless, incompetent, scamming insurance companies and should not be allowed to practice medicine.

Looking for a psychiatrist who makes you feel like she isn't interested in listening to your issues, doesn't actually want to talk through anything that is bothering you, doesn't answer any questions and is unprofessional in her communications? Well, then let me introduce you to Dr. Elsa Cruz. We've all had doctors that you wonder how they stay in practice due to their abilities (or lack thereof) and temperament. This is one of those examples. No matter what you are dealing with, you need to know that the professional you are paying has the acumen to actually work through everything with you. In this case, I hate having to write that I don't think she has the knowledge or experience, which is a bit disconcerting considering her profession. I can't tell you what to do, but I can simply say that if you need assistance of any kind, please get it, but don't get it from Dr. Cruz.

Recently I haven't been happy with this office. I've been seeing Dr. Cruz for over a year. I always wait 20-30 minutes after my appointment. Normally I dont mind cause i go a day when Im off work. But I'm just really disappointed with Dr. Cruz and her staff. I've been calling because I needed my medication switched back. I called the office literally 5 times the past 2 days. I've yet to receive a phone call saying its switched back and ready. I think if Dr. Cruz runs behind so much than change the routine to better serve your patient's. I'm just beyond disappointed !!
