I love this gym so much. After moving to SoCal, I was looking for a new place for my fitness journey, and I’m so happy I walked through these doors. I’ve been to a lotttttt of gyms in my life, but never one with so many friendly people and without even a tinge of hubris. It makes a difference- I always feel welcomed and appreciated when I am there. The classes started extremely challenging for me, but I have stuck with it and am starting to see positive outcomes for my health. The training schedule fits well and I’m able to schedule classes around school and work. I’ve been attending consistently for months, and am still surprised by the variety of workouts and professionalism of the staff. Learning a lot! Thank you rec shop for making a gym that feels good to go to 🥰

Where do I start? I have friends that go here so I joined in time for the Restart- spring into shape challenge. The workouts are great and I love how everyone here is like family. The coaches motivate you, more than happy to provide alternate exercises if needed, and make sure to correct your form to prevent any injuries. Everyone is super welcoming and very encouraging of your workout journey. If you want to enjoy working out and start feeling better in your own skin, try REC shop out!

I was visiting California and went to REC Shop during my vacations, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The coaches here are incredibly knowledgeable, always providing valuable insights and guidance during workouts. The gym is exceptionally well-equipped, with top-notch facilities that cater to various fitness needs. What stands out the most is the welcoming atmosphere – both the coaches and fellow members are genuinely friendly and supportive, creating a fun and inclusive environment. I feel safe and encouraged to push myself further in my fitness journey. Definitely a 5 star experience and if you're in the area you need to become a member!

Beyond overdo review
I loved every single session and minute at this gym. I was with this gym for around 3 years and was so sad to go. From the staff to the workouts hands down the best gym. They are always striving to make people feel comfortable and having fun while working out. The owner Fani, is so hands on and cares about you as a person. She balances mom life with work life and still makes you feel so important. I can’t thank this gym enough for all they do. Love them all and miss them all.

I started at REC Shop back in September 2021. I feel like my form needed soo much help, along with my physique and confidence. 6 months later, I feel so much better about myself, my eating and working out habits have been healthier and more consistent... I have all the lovely trainers to thank for that! All the trainers are always trying to help everyone be their better and healthier versions..

The environment at REC is always motivating, uplifting, and so friendly! & my favorite thing from is that it is never a dull workout when I'm there! I love REC Shop & hate that it took me so long to find my fav gym!

I've been at this gym for over 2 years now and I can't express enough how much I love all the trainers and members I've met in the group training class. It is just such a welcoming and fun atmosphere and the gym family I've created makes it so easy to go workout on the daily! The trainers always make sure your form is correct and encourage you to give it your all! The owner is the icing on the cake because she's the sweetest, most down to earth person you'll ever meet. She loves being involved and she's there almost daily.. pumping everyone up and also jumps in and trains group classes when needed! Can't say enough good things about this gym. Best private gym I've ever been to!

I LOVE this gym. First gym I've ever felt comfortable going to and actually WANTED to get up and go to. Fani and all the coaches are amazing! Everyone, including other members, are so friendly and supportive and always helping you out during the workouts. I unfortunately had to stop going for my own work schedule, but the minute I can go back, I will be signing up! 🙂

I have been a member since March. The 6 AM class is a great way to start the day. REC Shop has several trainers and each one has a different style and approach to teaching proper form and motivating class members to get the most out of each workout. Each class is run flexibly enough for members of various training levels to work out together and still get a personalized workout. The trainers are good at providing modifications on the fly so that everyone benefits equally from the time spent. Each month the routines are changed up, which keeps the workouts from becoming routine. There is a good balance of focus on strength and resistance training, mobility and speed, and endurance / conditioning. I have definitely seen progress towards my goals of increasing my strength, power, muscle growth and overall fitness.
