Dr. Mariko Horie is one of the BEST!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my acupuncturist. She is truly kind, caring, and compassionate—everything you could hope for in a healthcare provider. I have been facing many health challenges recently, and from the moment I walked through her doors, I felt welcomed and supported.

She not only helps with my physical health but is also there for me emotionally. On days when I’ve felt down or even shed tears, she has been a calming and understanding presence. Her empathy and genuine care have made such a difference in my healing journey.

After not having much success in neck and lower back pain treated by Western Medicine, and wanting to avoid the next level of treatment offered, I decided to try Acupuncture and was very fortunate to have stumbled on Dr. Hories website and made an appointment for treatment. Dr. Horie has been treating my neck, shoulder and lower back pain since October 2023 and I am so delighted with the results. Any skepticism I had went away after the first treatment. At close to 70 I have been able to enjoy the ocean sports that are such an important part of my life.

The other thing about Dr. Horie's practice is that you aren't walking into the typical clinical white walled offices with way too many people scurrying about to get us to fill out multiple forms etc. and just feels stressful in general. Her office is beautifully appointed with interesting wall hangings and other pieces that exude a very relaxed aura that makes me feel as if I'm in a place where my health and well being is the priority.

I am also looking forward to tapping into her skills as an herbalist having used herbal formulas with much success to treat injuries when practicing martial arts.

Not only did she help me figure out what had been going on with my digestion for many years, but she has such a healing and kind energy about her and the way she imparts her knowledge that you feel better just being there. I actually sleep so soundly when I get acupuncture it is crazy. I also love that she is so vested in your care, and really listens. One time I fell asleep so deeply that she came in when the time was over and saw how relaxed I was and asked if I needed more time, which I did. Really amazing how much better I feel. I am continuing to go, and while I really don't like the herbal tea, she is truly a healer that I will continue to go to for my first line of defense.
