I started seeing Kate shortly after I moved to SD knowing hardly anybody in the area. I was struggling with a significant relapse with my eating disorder and was feeling generally hopeless. My therapist at the time recommended her and I was skeptical because I've had some bad experiences with dieticians/nutritionists in the past that seemed to actually worsen my eating disorder rather than try to understand it. Even after our first visit I could tell this would be different. Her questions were more about my lifestyle and my relationship with food. She was patient with me and always met me where I was at - not literally just emotionally 🙂 Some days I was motivated to try new eating habits and sometimes I'd show up not wanting to talk about food at allllll. She always found a way to optimize our visits by treating me like a human as opposed to just another client. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the pleasure of working with her and would recommend her to anyone seeking to address their relationship with food.
