I have had the pleasure of experiencing her haircare services, and I can honestly say it’s like no other anywhere in the world. Desi walked me through a guided meditation as she massaged and cared for my hair with a uniquely formulated tea blend. She took time to do a brushing ritual with me and showed me how to do it on myself so I could continue the journey of caring for my hair on a deeper level myself. Desi is amazing! I’ve been seeing her almost three years now. When I first met her my hair was literally dreading, and so tangled and breaking. I have curly hair so it’s tough finding someone I trust. Now I only let Desi cut my curls, and I drive all the way from SoCal to see her! I first met her in a group ritual then kept seeing her privately.

Desi not only cuts your hair, but she creates a holistic haircutting ritual, beautiful soul nourishing experience that changes you-inside and out. I had never experienced a haircutting ritual like this before, and it felt beautiful, and great to be held by Desi. Desi holds such amazing space to be able to release what no longer serves your highest path. Inside and out. It’s not just about cutting the hair. As a medicine woman myself, I LOVE that Desi uses plant medicine in your treatments and rituals. She uses a lot of oils she curates herself, and I get a conditioner from her that has very few ingredients that has completely transformed my curls! They are allways so soft and hydrated now, no longer breaking off. Desi taught me about dry brushing (for a curly girl~this was scary at first but Desi was patient, and taught me the ropes of dry brushing. Dry brushing stimulates the scalp and helps your hair grow longer and stronger. I will keep coming to see Desi, even from far away to get my hair done and full ritual. Thanks love! Come see her if you want to be pampered! I had just lost my dad and she helped me process my grief. It’ll be a hair cutting ritual and experience like you’ve never experienced before! 🌸🌿✂️

Not your average haircut!! Dez’s space is calming and she makes your haircut feel like a relaxing self care session. She encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try a new cut, now my curls and volume are the best they have ever been! It’s also so refreshing being able to go get a hair cut and not have to smell a bunch of chemicals from the dyes and all the hair products used. Everything she uses is as natural as it gets which is so cool and rare!

I am so grateful for the serendipitous chance of finding Desi in our small community. I was having trouble settling on a stylist in Sonora, but when I found Desi’s page, I was very intrigued. I am so very thrilled I chose her. She was extremely warm and welcoming from the very first moment of meeting her. She walked me through every step of her process, explaining what she used, how she made it, and why she chose it for me. The time I got to spend with Desi was calming, spiritual, and so supportive. I have attended 2 events Desi hosted & 1 haircutting experience (pictured!) - one was a group hair ritual where we spent our time outside, listening, doing hair ritual like scalp massage and brushing and singing. The other was a motherbaby blessing where Desi led the group through a mother blessing where each attendee got to share a blessing for mother and baby. A thoughtful and creative offering. I left both of these experiences feeling renewed and connected and deepening my community. I highly recommend any time spent in Desi’s magical energy.
