The stand for The Herb Shop is inside the Lancaster Central Market. The smell of the peppermint is incredible among other like freshly dried cilantro, and licorice root. We also bought cinnamon sticks. The lady serving the counter was owner and she was very helpful and friendly. This stand may our trip there, with over 100 degrees inside, worth it.

We have ordered tea here over the last few years. First, the teas are fantastic. The prices are decent. And last, our mail orders come so diligently and carefully packaged. In this day, it is difficult to trust businesses to safely wrap your orders….. many cut corners.

My wife and I come here exclusively for spices and tea. Their prices are extremely reasonable. The only minor gripe I have is the old owner was much more charismatic. The experience feels different due to the personality change, but their stand continues to offer great products.

The new owner/main service person can sometimes give a little "soup 1940s-german-person" vibes.

I’ve purchased exquisite loose leaf teas from this family owned company for several years now. I had traveled into Lancaster from out of town for a convention and was enthralled when I discovered her stand at the Market. Since then, I order online. Each loose leaf tea is always packaged with extreme care and arrives at my house so very quickly! I have tried many of her varieties throughout the years. The Irish Breakfast Tea is my favorite!! I highly recommend this company! Their products, attention to detail, and prices are top notch!

The service was fast and friendly. Tons of herbs to select from and the pricing is more than reasonable. Very clean as well. Looking forward to trying all the different varieties of teas I purchased! Definitely a stop worth making at the local farmer's market.

I have to agree with one of the most recent posts I drive over an hour to come to the specific store for my herbs for tea There is always a line at this place, but customers don’t complain about the line because we understand the shop can only help one person at a time. The new owner lacked very basic customer service. I was trying to look for new herbs to try and she answered my questions with a “I don’t know I don’t care” kind of attitude every time she asked me is there anything else she asked in a very rude and condescending tone I spent $40 and was willing to spend double that, but she rushed me so much to the point where I just stopped asking for anything else. just a little bit of customer service would’ve landed her double the money by this customer, I don’t know if I’ll be returning at this point

I have been coming to the herb shop for decades. I like the selection and the reasonable prices. But today, the new owner was very rude and was not willing to help me find what I needed. She was more focused on getting through the line of customers. There is always a line, and the customers are accustomed to the line as the previous owners always wanted to help their customers to their best ability. No one was impatient but the owner.
I understand everyone had a bad day, but I have not been happy with the service since new ownership, and today was the last chance I will give. I hope things get better, but in the meantime, I will take my business elsewhere.
