Working out with Sam has been a life changer. He is an excellent trainer. Some of the things I love about Sam; he listens to my goals and tailors a program specifically to me. When I first started working out with him I felt sluggish and not healthy. Now I have energy, my outlook is positive and I feel fit overall. While we do strength training, it's not about trying to lift heavier and heavier weights; it's about getting stronger and healthier. Sam also varies my workouts and doesn't have a *set* formula he repeats over and over for everyone. We set goals every six months or so and work toward those with the program that makes sense. Now I can walk 7-9 miles in a day and feel great. I can pick up and move the occasional heavy box and feel secure I won't hurt myself. Any my weight has stayed consistent and I am at an all time low. I highly recommend Sam.

His knowledge in weight training and core exercises has made a big difference in my workouts. Sam is patient and dedicated, always making sure each session is effective and enjoyable. I’ve trained with Sam over the last 6 years. Initially I started working with him because I wanted to increase my overall strength as I was approaching my 50’s.
Within 6 months I was definitely stronger, but I got a new job and had to find another trainer because Sam was on the other side of town. My old shoulder injury returned while I was working with a different trainer, so I went back to Sam. He rehabbed my shoulder and I got back to working out regularly. That time away made me realize how different he was.
Sam is an amazing trainer. He has a huge variety of exercises and warmup routines (so I never get bored), knows nutrition, checks in, and is very observant of form. Having this combo of data-driven training techniques to achieve my goals and also physical therapy knowledge means that when sometime feels off, he knows how to deal with it. I’m able to do every physical thing I want to do (a challenging hike on a random Wednesday, hours of yardwork, kayaking when I haven’t done it in years, or whatever interests me.) To me, this is the true definition of fitness, not just what happens in the gym, but being able to do anything in the real world that I need my body for.
He has a wholistic view of fitness - body mechanics, outside influences (like work, stress, sleep quality), and nutrition. I’m stronger, leaner, and have more endurance. I’ve learned what training is most effective for my particular body. And I’m so thankful to have such an awesome trainer.

Sam is great. Really has helped me achieve my fitness goals. Really listens & incorporates customer feedback into workout routines. We are constantly tweaking exercises, so it's never dull or boring. No rinse, wash and repeat for clients here!

I went to Sam because I needed help to push past an old sports injury so that I could get back in shape. Sam's understanding of biomechanics is impressive and his ability to problem solve and come up with solutions to work through my body's quirks has made a huge difference in getting past physical barriers. I've gained back strength while building up my cardio and my body is becoming increasingly balanced. He focuses on developing entire muscle groups and takes a systematic approach to meeting his client's individual needs. He's a great communicator, patient, and passionate about helping people meet their goals.
