Betty helped me diagnose a health issue I have been dealing with for 20 years. I saw allergists, dermatologists and even went to the emergency room with no success. She helps think outside the box and has tests to find the root cause of your issue that traditional doctors donā€™t use because insurance doesnā€™t cover it. Mine is mold related, and although it will be a long journey, I feel such relief to finally know I am on the path to healing.Youā€™d be surprised how many health conditions stem from mold exposure. As others said, she is a direct communicator because she truly cares and wants you to learn how to have optimum health. If you are ready to do a deep dive and are willing to make the changes necessary to help your body heal, Betty is your lady! Working with functional medicine practitioners is different than traditional doctors. You get to communicate what youā€™re feeling and get your questions answered and you actually get more than 10 minutes to do it. Iā€™ve seen other practitioners as I traveled and no one has cared or invested so much of their own time as Betty has. I truly feel she is a partner in my healing and I am grateful to have found her.

For several years, Betty has given me acupuncture treatments to improve my health, so I was thrilled to find out she was expanding her practice to include skin care. I have had Botox and used fillers, so I was interested in having Microneedling. I'm always cold so she knows to cover me with a blanket and two infrared lamps before beginning the treatment. It didn't hurt and the only place that was sensitive was over my cheekbones. My skin was tight and pink afterward, so I stayed out of the sun as she advised me. I have read everything about microneedling, so I am optimistic it will become part of my skincare future.

Sheā€™s experienced , knowledgeable and not whoo hoo, ā€¦in addition to Accupuncture, she has other modalities she uses, an experienced pro who does the research of my particular issue and continues after my visits to find new studies that support supplements, foods, ozone, etc, to heal and improve outcome faster
as a western physician, Iā€™ve sought Bettyā€™s excellent care for shingles( it worked), and now , bells palsy. Shes gentle, quick, sure, and has vast amount of knowledge I donā€™t. The two people giving bad reviews here seem to be involved with same case/ issue /patient, which Betty didnā€™t treat. Too bad for them, sheā€™s my favorite in the desert, sounds like she was able to do an assessment over the phone and was unable to help them. I wonder if they got pregnant, PCos is hard to get pregnant. Maybe their doctor gave them unreasonable expectations. Anyway, Betty is an amazing healer, she has dedicated her lifeā€™s work to helping others.

Betty is a caring and knowledgeable practitioner. She helped me tremendously with post concussion symptoms and then our relationship expand as I learned how knowledgeable she was about holistic health. She has a wealth of information and if you are truly wanting to dive deep int your healing, she is a great resource to tap into

Definition of Holistic medicine is an attitudinal approach to health care rather than a particular set of techniques. It addresses the psychological, familial, societal, ethical and spiritual as well as biological dimensions of health and illness.

VIA phone call for Accupuncture Betty McDonald was anything but Holistic- she was incredibly rude, insensitive and disrespectful to my daughter who is in the thralls of IVF. She told her that she should give up the idea of having a baby with PCOS- she asked her health questions over the phone and determined that she was unhealthy and further advised her that a baby deserves a healthy mother. THIS IS AN OUTRAGEOUS AND DISGUSTING way to treat a woman that is trying desperately to have a child- DO BETTER BETTY

Outstanding and excellent care. It was an amazing experience. I learned several mind sets of how to care for myself on how and what foods are healthy, caring for my body with natural remedies v. chemicals like prescriptions that cause more damage to my body. The care Betty puts into your care is great it's not about treatments it's how to take the information she gives you to become healthy. I look forward to be able to return and continue to grown into a healthy me.

Be warned.
Not a real doctor, nor does she hold any medical license, medical background, education, or skills thereof to provide healthcare or medical advice in a professional manner, and will give you neglectful ā€œadviceā€.

My wife who has been dealing with infertility issues for the last few years had contacted this woman to receive ā€œpre pregnancy acupunctureā€ upon my wife sharing with her the struggles of pcos and ivf, Betty then proceeded to tell my wife ā€œyou will not have a baby, a baby needs a healthy mother and you are not healthy, you should not go through with your transfer (which is next week btw) and throw the idea of you having a baby out the window.ā€
Who says something like that to someone?
How could someone claim to be a ā€œhealthcare providerā€ and yet be so cruel insensitive and unprofessional?
These words are not exaggerated, they are exactly what was said, with multiple family members around to hear.

Extremely unprofessional and unsolicited ā€œadviceā€ from this ā€œhealthcare providerā€.
We have filed a complaint with the California board of practitioners, but wanted to share this terrible experience so others can beware of this insensitive woman who has no medical background, education, or skills to be making such claims OVER THE PHONE!!!
