I have been attending Michelle's Body Sculpt & Yoga classes for over a month now. It has been so much fun and what a great work out! My body is shaping up after taking a VERY LONG break from running, cycling & swimming. I didn't believe I would like a class environment, but Michelle made me feel extremely comfortable as she helped me gain the right positions. Her enthusiasm is contagious & our entire class became friends easily. I respond better to positive reinforcement which is just the type of person and atmosphere Michelle creates while working out.

Our daughter has worked with Michelle and Tony in a team environment for the past year during her off season (soccer payer) to maintain fitness, flexibility, strength, speed and most importantly to prevent injury. She is 100% convinced her work with Total-U-Fitness has not only improved her overall physical condition and speed, but has really made her think about nutrition and how what she eats affects her performance. As a parent, I am so pleased that I can rest assured that she is doing all of the right things to take care of herself while she’s not home. I can’t thank Tony and Michelle enough for their hard work and knowledge.

I look forward to my daughter, myself and my wife working with them for years to come!

I spent two months with Michelle and she is an outstanding trainer. I was not in great shape and about 40 pounds overweight when we started. Over that two month period she kept it interesting. She provided a variety of exercises and pushed just enough but not two much. I really appreciated the knowledge of exercise and diet. She started with me by setting goals and said "get an APP" to manage the eating. So far down 24 pounds, 4 inches on waist, lowered blood pressure. And no injuries. I have worked with a couple of other trainers were just not as careful about avoiding injury. It has been an awesome experience. The club I worked out at is Anytime Fitness in Fountain Hills. The club is well maintained and has a great variety of equipment for any type of exercise. I really enjoy it.

Tony Myatt acted as strength and conditioning coach for my son’s travel baseball team one recent off season (before Tony relocated from northern IL).

As a former D1 college athlete (football) who had a collection of both great coaches – including some in the college HoF – and also some poor coaches, & also having been a youth coach for several years, I pay attention to coaching styles and communication methods, teaching methods.

What I witnessed when I saw Tony work with these young men was they listened and were engaged thru all the sessions that offseason – he had and kept their attention by not just saying, “OK, do this drill this way…” nor “run and move your arms like this”, but rather he explained to them in terms they could understand the “why do the drill this way, or why move your arms this way.” Communication to the athlete was excellent so that they could get some education – not just on the drill but why they were doing it, and HOW it could help them get better. This was also explained to us parents that were observing.

Also of notice and importance was how Tony was also incorporating proper breathing tehcniques – constantly reminding the players to breathe properly and to focus! – as well as how all of what they were doing also played into injury prevention, not just strength/conditioning. (Ya can’t play your best if you’re injured, if at all).

Overall, if I had a team that I was coaching today, I’d have zero reservations in having Tony train my athletes…and I have no reservations in recommending him to others.

Respectfully,

Mike McKenna
