I have had a disappointing experience at Valley Natural Health regarding my iron deficiency anemia. While I’ve read positive things about Dr. Sonal Patel, my interactions with the front office and nursing staff have been frustrating and unprofessional.

During my iron infusion appointment, I was unexpectedly charged a $25 administrative fee without prior notice, in addition to the standard fee for the infusion. My appointment started 40 minutes late, and only began after I inquired about the delay—there was no communication or apology from the staff.

While receiving the infusion, I had questions related to my treatment, but the nurse couldn’t provide answers and made no effort to follow up. I was also surprised to hear staff discussing patient and personal matters and their eagerness to take their lunch breaks while I was there.

After the infusion and three weeks of taking liquid iron daily, I have seen no improvements in my health—in fact, I’ve felt worse. I ended up in urgent care with debilitating stomach pain, nausea, and cold sweats. Throughout this process, I was never given information about potential side effects or what to do if issues arose. Attempts to reach someone by phone to discuss my treatment plan have been unhelpful. While I understand the preference for in-person visits for adjustments, it seems reasonable to request a phone call for urgent concerns. Instead, I was told that the earliest appointment to discuss my issues was over a week away.

Overall, my experience has been unsatisfactory, and I feel my health concerns are not being taken seriously. I hope this feedback can help improve care for future patients.

Dr. Patel is the Essential Professional! He takes the time to talk to you, find out how you are doing, not just ask, and is always ready to explain anything he says in the event you don't understand. Always a pleasure to see him as he is a Great Physician, Person, and Friend! He has set a standard that all should emulate.

Dr. Patel is extremely knowledgeable in all health issues. He listens without interrupting and follows up with pertinent questions. He’s thorough and connects the dots to get you to the path of healing. His love for all his patients is evident when he sees us and the time he spends with us. Dr. Sonal Patel is a wonderful, friendly, energetic doctor who thinks outside the box and is very thorough. He seems to be constantly learning and is familiar with many alternative healing modalities. He's focused on natural routes to health instead of just handing out prescriptions. Most of all, I have seen him truly care for my dad while he was going through a life-threatening illness, and now as I'm his patient/client, I feel the same. Dr. Patel truly has filled a void in Fresno's natural health world. He's the BEST & I highly recommend him!

The best Dr in Fresno.
He has a great bedside manner and listens to your concerns. Goes above and beyond to get to the root of your problem. I will always and forever be great for all his help with my hormone imbalance issues he corrected and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Hrs truly in it because he cares not for the money. I can say I had been to a few other drs in town that took advantage of my hormone issue to have me coming in seeing them to charge my insurance a office visit and co-pay plus a yearly fee not to mention paying for medications seperate all the while act like they were helping me.He has also helped me with all my other health issues I have ran into after the fact, he has also addressed with thoroughly approach. My life has changed for the better after finding him took me half my life to find a good dr. I just wish I found him sooner. Would of saved me a lot of money and misery from always feeling sick. This is your place if you want good health and a dr that actually cares.

I've been introduced to Dr. Patel and his team for my hormonal imbalance about 6 months ago. I have been following his plan for myself and have experienced improvement. I am so grateful to him and his team. I'm staying to feel like myself again. I plan to continue to stick with his plan and bio-identical hormone route. It has been life changing and such a blessings.
