Honestly, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I initially started going a few months ago at their location and my first appointment was for psychiatric help, to discuss my mental health. The initial appointment went well, and I loved my doctor... the only issue is there is no way to ever get a hold of my doctor. They outsource their hotline to another country so you will never actually get into contact with anyone who works directly at the office, and they have no patient portal, except for a website that someone who's not even my psychiatrist responds to, occasionally, and other times weeks with no response.

Okay, that aside I kept going because I wanted to make it work, until a few months in I was bombarded with spam calls from that same hotline saying I owe 1500$. I called my insurance company and they told me they have no clue, and that all of my bills were paid, every single appointment accounted for. I called back multiple times to explain this to Vital Total health, and was transferred, given the run around, assured call backs that never happened.

Because of the initial 1500$ scare I canceled my appointments and have been unable to actually reach anyone to resolve anything. My psychiatrist won't approve of my medication refills during this period and I'm out of luck on the withdrawal effects of the medication they prescribed me.

Please stay clear if you are looking for actual help.

UPDATE: Adding photos to further show the incompetence of this office and to substantiate the claims made by others that this office doesn't properly schedule appointments. This wasn't the first time that an appointment was messed up either - I just made a point of communicating over email so I could show it where every other time was over the phone.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I know the saying in the medical field is that you need to advocate for yourself, but good Lord, this "medical" office makes that saying ring truer than I ever thought possible. Be prepared as the patient to do their job for them. The administration is comprised of the most incompetent individuals I have ever interacted with and I must have spoke with 5 different people in my attempts to get the most basic of administrative tasks completed by them. They’re 100% outsourced – the individuals you meet in office are not the ones that you speak to when calling their posted number (925-388-9800). My interactions with the actual doctors and PAs were so limited due to the comical inability of their staff that I never had enough exposure to even comment on them.

Read the other Yelp and Google reviews – I’ve experienced just about everything in the 4-months I’ve attempted to get things done with them. Their admin can't successfully complete the most basic of tasks: not setting up appointments; not sending doctor orders to hospitals; not being able to comprehend medical documents; not following up on requests for information because they don’t know how to get it; and my personal favorite…being so woefully incapable of using standard computer applications that I had to walk one of their employees through how to OPEN A PDF BECAUSE THEY WERE TRYING TO USE MICROSOFT NOTEPAD TO DO SO. I am not exaggerating when I say this place is a joke.

As a new patient who is very health conscious and who was looking for a primary care physician of whom I could rely on for regular health assessments and check points each year, I’m just about the easiest, low-fuss patient a medical office could ask for. Literally throw a few tests at me each year, charge my insurance a couple grand each time, voilà – easy money. How they dropped the ball on this because they can’t accomplish basic office functions is beyond me. There is no professionalism of any kind here.

Ya’ll are fired…I’ll find a competent primary care office elsewhere.

Been coming here for years. Not only do they prescribe pain medication legally (you'll have to jump through hoops to get it) they also tested my blood and found I was low in lots of things and so I came here after my heart stopped and they treated me like a normal person, sometimes things go wrong I've had to go a few days with out pain medication because of silly mistakes but that's the process to get pain meds legally and safely so I wouldn't pay attention to the people complaining. It's a nice office if you follow the rules. Thank you vital total health for your medical care. 🤗

The most bizarre and unprofessional ‘medical’ establishment I’ve dealt with in my life. Who is this toxic Margaret person. Pretty sure she’s not a Dr. avoid this place at all costs.

One of the worse clinic. I've worked in the health care field for over 15 years and never encounter such rudeness. They honestly don't deserve any stars. The staff there are rude and you will never get schedule with a providers. Office manager, Victor will tell you that it's not their responsibility to reach out and schedule new/current patients. "They don't go chasing people." Yet, they will never return your call when they advised that they will call you back. I asked for a office manager during the ordeal. Victor hesitated and advised he was the office manager for the clinic. He was very immature and unprofessional. He told me to not tell him how to run his clinic, AKA Administrative Manager. Who knows if that's even his real name as he has lied to me many times over the phone. Be professional instead of hanging up the phone when you lied to me. You couldn't even answer my questions and your response didn't make any sense. From the beginning, Victor told me that they will reach out to the patient an schedule. Then I was told that they will not schedule unless the patient calls and schedule themselves as it was not their responsibility. Yes, I get the reason why as many patients no show appointments. When the patient called and tried to schedule, they were told by the office that they couldn't schedule and will return their call. Never happen. Victor couldn't give me a legit reason and lied to me. My questions were why are you telling me different things and lying to me? Be truthful. Teach your staff and yourself to be truthful, professional, and courteous to the patients. Also stop lying to patients when you tell them that the staff will return their calls when you don't follow through with it. Be honest and quit making excuses. Oh, I forgot.. I shouldn't be telling how to run your clinic. I really hope that the staff, managers, and providers/owners could take a course on how to be professional and nice. Obviously the choice of words and action from Victor were not the best. Lets pray for forgiveness. Not worth your breath/time trying to speak with theses professional staff, manager and providers. Obviously it's not their job to provide the care you are needing when you need it the most. Please go find another provider that has staff, management and medical providers that actually care about your health. They honestly lost respect and all new referrals will be directed to other outside providers. We will let other providers and insurance company how they treat their patients. Please find the care you need else where besides here!

I have been a patient of Vital Total Health for several years now. Vital Total Health is the first medical group that has been able to properly diagnose and treat my medical conditions while feeling fully comfortable with the care and treatment plan customized for me, and has been effective to my satisfaction. I began pain management treatment with Dr. Salmon, who was nothing short of AMAZING. Dr. Zizmore has also provided regular treatment for my conditions, and who has been a savior to me on many occasions. The physical therapists, Kayla and Hannah, are superior to any others I’ve used in the past. The communication, compassion, comfort and care provided by this entire medical group staff has far exceed any expectation I had or have ever experienced by any other medical group. Dennis (administrator - front desk), always makes me feel important, and treats me with respect and as a close friend. I look forward to calling this office when scheduling appointments so that I can speak with Dennis, who always addresses my needs and concerns. Even though I have moved 3 hours away, I continue to receive my treatment from this medical group when needed. Thank you, Vital Total Health, for your loving kindness! 🩷 Sarah Jo

I’ve been a client at VTH since 2021. Dr. Salmon and the staff are amazing! My health has radically improved with treatment changes, and I feel like I have another chance at living pain-free. (My previous doctor just did the same routine for years, which didn’t help that much.) Everyone is kind and personable too, which makes appointments enjoyable. Check them out!

My initial appt with Dr Greer was great. He was kind, thorough and spent a lot of time going thru previous docs, testing my agility, asking me questions and writing a lot down.

Then his asst was coming in and out of room, asking him questions etc. I got some real strange vibes. I since have felt uncomfortable with her questioning, comments, suggestions.

Asst did my follow up and it was a less then desirable. I knew something wrong was going to happen bc of her demeanor. Bottom line, said she submitted prescription during appt, verified pharmacy, it was never sent in. I Called office all day on Friday following Thursday appt and still no script sent. So here I sit with no meds, experiencing withdrawal symptoms and not happy at all. My appt was her talking about being an expert and that Dr Greer only sees patient initially and then sends patients to her (the expert). She was talking fast, acting erratic (my opinion) moving her arms and agitated.

I have gone through all the formalities, PT, acupuncture, computer pysch. test, urine test, etc. she trained a new Practitioner and while I was on telemed, she talked the entire time in background, told him how to answer and it appeared she embarrassed him. He was unable to get a word in. I was embarrassed for him.

She had all day Thursday & Friday to push button on computer to send in scrip. I feel she had done this intentionally and like another patient described, she doesn’t like pain med patients or maybe just doesn’t care for female patients. The staff answering phone on Friday assured me scrip would be submitted by COB by doctor in office. Checked Saturday & Sunday, nothing.
